This turned into a mini-investigation so this post is long AF so I'll bold the important parts. On the page for Changing Skies, I spotted an unfamiliar name. The page says: "Changing Skies" is a song written by Lady Gaga & co-written by Singer/Songwriter Mitchell Wiggs. The song bears a resemblance to the style found in one of Gaga's inspirations, David Bowie. (first of all, I'm not hearing this Bowie resemblance but whatever, that's another story.) The important part is.. Who the f*ck is Mitchell Wiggs? I've always wondered who produced Changing Skies bc it doesn't sound like RedOne or Fusari or any of the usuals... Fernando maybe. Googling his name leads to a weird Urban Dictionary entry that is very obviously written by him, stating that he graduated high school with honors (cool story bro) and is pursuing a career as a singer/songwriter. Now on his Facebook account, he posts a ton of pictures with celebrities and his bio says: Mitchell Wiggs is a Singer/Songwriter. After amassing over a million hits through his YouTube covers, he caught the eye of a few industry insiders, and was subsequently asked to co-write for the likes of Lady Gaga - (DefJam/CherryTree/Streamline/Kon Live/Interscope) and Cassie - (Bad Boy Records). Mitchell also soon became noticed by music superstars such as Katy Perry, who in 2011 invited him to perform with her on stage. um what? asked to co-write bc of his COVERS? Do we have another Lucia Cole on our hands? Could it be real? Did Gaga really ask a fan to co-write Changing Skies with her? Is Gagapedia too easy to edit?
