must all her videos look like footage of a girl before she went missing :rip:

the song is really good, waiting for it to grow on me instead of expecting an instant grab that so many of us are use to...

Opulence

I really like it, haunting. I kinda hope it's not the lead single and more of an intro to the era, would like something more accessible for the lead. On Instagram Lana did say that songs on the album have a 'muddy trap energy' which I'm really excited for, I think she's talking about her and the Weeknd's work. Just imagine, lana + dirty trap music

This is just an album opener and an intro to the era, as i you've guessed, "Music To Watch Boys To" is gonna be the first single, she already shot the music video for it last month.

Not her saying this will sound "totally different" from Ultraviolence when the lead single literally sounds like a Ultraviolence outtake. :saladga:
RIP Lana, I gave you up completely.

String arrangement is beautiful, very Bernard Hermann, but damn that was a slog. I usually appreciate Lana, but this was morose and sluggish on another level.

I really like how she's not becoming mainstream like a lot of alt artists today. I like that she isn't being over played and not everyone is talking about her. she's underground and unique and very untouched. she can be our secret treasure that not everybody understands, only us. Her "fans" that call this boring, only serve to prove that only a select few people of our generation actually get her and understand and mesh with her art. This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. cannot wait for the album!

It's a morose little lullaby, what else would you want from Lana Del Rey? It's lovely.

People seem to have really unnatural expectations for musicians these days. Lana is steadily releasing quality music that will speak to a certain group of sullen Morrissey loving gay boys and sensitive Sylvia Plath reading fäg hags for generations to come. She doesn't have to change her sound or concern herself with the twitter generations need for constant artistic rebranding.

Just enjoy the music, or dont.

Hahaha I love lana (and this new track!)  but you totally described me and her fanbase to a t :rip:

More of the same, imo...

I think the song is ok, but it's not the kind of thing I'll listen to twice...I'm not that into her (never was) so what I'm about to say I say as a distant observer (so I might be wrong), but she makes such an effort in trying to be "cool" and keeping her persona on all the time, that she becomes so bland...there's not much personality or spontaneity in her songs or videos...it's all so formally acceptable, but at the same time deprived of "life"...idk...again, it might be just an impression...

ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.

I like it a LOT. I had a hard time getting into Ultraviolence, but I feel like this album will be right what I want from her. :music:

I am so confused. I thought the demo of the song leaked ages ago.

But then I literally was JUST informed that this may not be the same song as the one that's planned for release. So now I'm just confused:saladga:

I apologize for my mistake

Now I feel dumb lol

Yeah, that's Driving In Cars With Boys.
