:lmao: I read the headline and nearly choked on a glass of water.

I mean, although still stupid, I can understand that some people could be disappointed by the ruling.

I cannot actually comprehend that there are people in a state of mourning because gay people now have equal rights to straight people when it comes to marriage :lmao:

Flags in Dent County, Missouri, will be lowered to "below half-staff" for a one-year period of "mourning" the Supreme Court's June 26 decision to legalize gay marriage nationwide.

In a unanimous vote on Monday, the Dent County Commission decided to lower the American flags at the county courthouse and judicial building on the 26th day of each month from now until June of next year.

I may or may not agree with this, but I can understand it. On a side note, aren't you from Missouri?

Pathetic. Let those close-minded hurt fools cry, it's all they have now. And there are reasons to fly the flag at half mast. This is not one of them.

"All who see these flags at this lowered position [will] be reminded of this despicable Supreme Court travesty," Skiles wrote in the letter. He called the Supreme Court decision "the U.S. high court's stamp of approval of what God speaks of as an abomination" and accused the court of “blatant judicial overreach.”

Which god? The Christian god? No disrespect to their beliefs, but who cares what their god says? This isn't a theocracy, and elected officials must represent ALL their constituents, not just the ones that worship in the same houses they do. If they can't separate the tenants of their religion from the rule of the law, then they must step down and give the position to someone that will show respect. This grandstanding makes them and the people that support their actions look like asses.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

I hate it when people can't seem to keep their own personal beliefs and opinions separate from other people's actions. :saladga:
