Maybe it's the sentimental music or the nostalgia, but it seems like they actually give a sh*t about these new ones. How nice it is to see actual sets, props, and creature creations. I love how they are emphasizing going back to the original aesthetics because that is what made these worlds feel alive. And actors need other actors to feed off of and put out great performances, not some green screen. Everyone is coming back but it doesn't yet feel like a retcon. I actually got a little teary seeing Mark Hamill again. Please let the script live up to this amazing hype. My parents taped the original theatrical versions in the 80's so that I could grow up with them in the 90's, and I have been in love with them since. Please let this be a new dawn for this marvelous series. OMG Simon Pegg! Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
