It's really hard to hear this, but she says "I'm sorry, Dad... and I'm sorry Mom, and Nat... but this one's for my fans." And then she adds "for my lover". She's not really apologizing for anything, just saying that, although she loves them, the thing that she needs more than dope is us (and Taylor).

Oh thanks you're really sweet  :worship:

Thanks... but actually, I'm reinterpreting that now in light of what I've heard her say about the song since then. I may have to listen again. (I had to manipulate it in my sound editor to hear it clearly, and now I'm still not sure I have it right.)

I just watched Dope from the Youtube music awards... I don't understand why she said 'I'm sorry mom and Natali'  Does anyone have an idea?

The song is about her addiction to d--gs and saying to her lover/family/fans that she needs us more than d--gs, hens apologising to all of the above before the performing the song.

So, did this happen, or ... ?

Yeah it did.

To celebrate the launch of Lady Gaga’s new album, ARTPOP, Telstra, Take 40, the Today Network and Universal Music have announced that the global superstar will be coming to Australia to celebrate the opening of the Telstra Thanks Presents Lady Gaga ARTPOP Gallery. The news comes as ARTPOP debuted at #1 on iTunes in Australia.

Inspired by Lady Gaga and designed by Little Monsters, the gallery will exist online and physically, presenting a collection of unique and awe-inspiring art from her legion of fans in a multi-media, interactive and visually-stunning display.

Open to everyone, the initiative calls upon Little Monsters, music lovers, art enthusiasts and anyone feeling creative to head here to upload what ARTPOP means to them. Submissions can be made in any form, be it a painting, drawing, photograph, costume, sculpture, video or written word – the only limitation is imagination!

With her latest musical masterpiece highlighting her passion for fusing art and music, Lady Gaga explained in a message to her fans: “You communicate with me and each other with pictures, and artwork, graphics all day 24/7... You’re an ARTPOP generation. I’m hoping you will all continue to grow together and stay connected through your creativity.â€

Every week from today, Take 40 and The Bump will be awarding tickets for lucky fans to meet Lady Gaga in person during her visit to Australia to celebrate the launch of the gallery.

Take 40 and The Bump’s host Angus O'Loughlin said: “This is going to be huge! One of the biggest stars on the planet is coming to Australia to be part of something amazing. I am psyched to be a part of it! Now I just need to create an egg costume ... that's original right?"

Telstra’s Director of CRM, Digital and Loyalty, Nick Adams, said Telstra Thanks will be offering a number of exciting opportunities for Telstra customers to get involved in this world-class event.

“Telstra Thanks is proud to be part this incredibly creative, social and technology-led event that allows Lady Gaga fans to connect with her in a truly unique and expressive way.â€

Over the past five years Lady Gaga has cemented herself as a global superstar, boasting numerous achievements including; five Grammy Awards amongst fifteen nominations and the estimated sale of over 24 million albums and over 125 million singles. She has over 60 million Facebook fans and in excess of 40 million Twitter followers.

Despite her multi-platinum success, Lady Gaga has always remained indebted to the fans, something the gallery has integral to its concept.

I was just thinking about a great way to promote Gaga's music. By buying it on iTunes at midnight! People don't buy songs on midnight, I know this from kworb.net. So, if we buy Gaga's song at midnight, it will raise back to the top ten, and then BOOM! People start noticing it as a great mainstream song because it's back on the top ten. AND YES, YOU'RE WELCOME!  :nails:
