I'm so f*cking proud of him tbh. The fact he understands who he is and is comfortable with sharing that is a huge thing. It shouldn't be belittled.

congrats...I hate the fact people in the straight and in the LGBT community are so hateful against bis-xuals, come on...if it's a girl, everyone is like. good for ha...but when it's a guy...everyone is like: oh its just a transitional stage...one step closer to truly coming out :awkney:

One step closer to coming out as gay.

He'll get there, eventually.

That might be true, but if you listen to what Shane has to say he makes a legitimate point, in a lot of ways it's easier to be a gay man then bis-xual man in our culture. People like clearly defined labels, the vagueness of bis-xuality and s-xuality being on a spectrum is hard for some people so grasp. The uncertainty of it makes them uncomfortable. It would be far easier for Shane to just say "I'm gay" and leave it there. But instead he is being honest, and in being honest is making it a little harder for his audience to understand.

I think the days of homos-xuals being on the bi-now-gay-later plan might be over.

Anyway, congratulations to Shane for being comfortable enough with himself to share this with the world.
