So if IInterscope decided to make Dope the first promo single instead of DWUW. Dope would have become the second single because Interscope just switched it to DWUW because it instantly went to #1 on iTunes like all other promo singles from ARTPOP. I think its the best song on the album and production-wise where I thought it should've gone.-Fashion! is underrated by the fanbase simply because they find it to be too simpleminded I think. But I think its one of if not the strongest pure pop songs on the album. Most of the critics kind of overlooked it as well but to be quite honest most of the reviews I read made their valid points but also in other aspects were just obviously trying to punish her with scathing judgements.-Do What U Want has been unrightfully hated by this fanbase because it was released instead of Venus and because R. Kelly was in the mix, but honestly its one of the strongest songs on the album and one of her strongest singles in years. Its really a shame that that isnt acknowledged widely. And the Xtina version is so unnecessary and is pure crap imo, that version is totally overrated especially by pop stans because they just cream themselves over the fact that she collaborated with another big name it has nothing to do with whether or not Xtina was needed on the track or whether she adds anything to it which she doesn't. Its like a fan favorite and I suspect it has a lot to do with the fact that fans were pining and pining for 'burqa' like waaaaaayyyy before the album even came out. Gaga was ready for it even during the Applause video.I think Venus actually could have done surprisingly well if it were to have been released as a single and allowed to sink in (because I think its a grower rather than a shower) and would've been a really good representation of the album. But Bad Romance though? Idk about that....and tbh though I roll my eyes when fans go on about it being a better single than DWUW when DWUW is one of her strongest singles since The Fame. Aura (whichever version), Sexxx Dreams, and MJH are pretty much always listed as favorites.
