PartySick 161,511
Katy Perry will return with the same ol' **** and still top the charts. Rihanna will call up her circus of hit makers to hand her an album of hits when she's done pretending to be a real artist. The shade But where are the lies? You're stinky

Versace 7,979
They Can All Slay if they just TRY Katy- DarkPop , where is your dark era sis, all the pop girls have that even Britney with Blackout. Where is your Fame Monster at Katy.Taylor- When does this chick not slay, tbh she has been overexposed since the RED Era we just didn't notice her albums sell loads her tours sells insanely her fan base is HUGE. The only difference this time is she has become a singles artist that's pretty much it.Rihanna- Create Loud 2.0 or release Kiss It Better.Nick- Don't worry about her boo she'll slay with The Prink Print Roman Re-reloaded: The Re-ReUpAdele- She wont slay tbh , she's almost forgotten. 21 isn't a thing that can happen twice you know but hey if Adele puts out a pop song with killer vocals one that we can groove to and say slay me mama Adele.Beyoncé-Her last album was immensely successful , don't worry about her she can slay by either releasing songs like 7/11 or go back to actual talent and release songs like Irreplaceable and Halo.Everyone will love Miley if she grows her hair and keeps her tongue in her mouthEveryone will forgive Iggy if she releases a I love Nicki Minaj type of songGaga will slay cause she's Gaga, ARTPOP underperformed due to management issues not due to Gaga , Gaga never flops keep that in mind she can only slay.Oh and all Britney has to do is look up the wordPROMO and why it is important seriously last time she properly promoted something was her In The Zone album. I don't know how she got away with many hits with almost 0 promo I guess that's not gonna work now Brit.
Disregard 50
lol, Adele and Taylor will ALWAYS have a good harvest of #1s.There's no such thing as always when it comes to popular music. Literally every single person who hits it big eventually sees a slump in sales, acclaim, attention, everything. There was a time in each of their careers where it didn't seem possible that huge artists like Michael, Madonna, Janet, Mariah, Whitney, Britney, etc. could fall, and yet they all did. blacklistedd 599
if Gaga is not giving people what THEY want from her, she isn't going anywhere with this next albumI am all for her to experiment with new sound, but she must be very careful, cause she has everything to lose this timeShe already lost most of it to be honest, what you're describing is what happened with ARTPOP. Now shes kind of just gotta do what she will and hope it all works out because no one is really expecting anything in particular from her anymore really.I don't see her losing out though, she will have her detractors as always and supporters as always. But I kind of see this next album being received better than ARTPOP was. With ARTPOP I feel like people were still clamoring to slap her on the wrist and tell her off, at this point I don't think anyones itching to put her in her place. GoddessXtina 12
I'm not really seeing the factual information behind his post though? Like yes I love Gaga, but let's be real here. ARTPOP being her latest solo studio album sold about 2.5 million worldwide. That's not horrid, but it's definitely not good. Cheek to Cheek was practically Bionic level sales wise. Beyonce's latest album had about 5 million sales worldwide, 4 had about 3 million with like no promo. Katy hit about 3 millions with Prism so just a bit more successful than ARTPOP. I can't believe you're coming for Adele honestly, 21 had 30 or so million sales worldwide and remains high on album charts like 4 years later, 30 million is more than all of Gaga's combined, don't worry about her. Taylor hit like 8 million for 1989, and Bad Blood hit the 24 hour viewing record for Vevo. If everyone hated Miley why would Bangerz have almost identical sales to ARTPOP. Overall my point is yes Gaga is great, and I'm super looking forward to her new album, but we can't really be slamming the success of the others at the moment... giskardsb 12,565
I don't wish for any pop stars to "fail" even if it means Gaga "loses." And I don't think she would either. A rising tide lifts all boats as they say. In any case, there are more important things than how numbers stack up among various pop stars. Like, the music, for example. Brooke Hoegan 1,018
She already lost most of it to be honest, what you're describing is what happened with ARTPOP. ARTPOPchamp 292
I'm talking about the female artists who are known worldwide, and how it's unlikely they'll get a HUGE next era ala 1989/Good Girl Gone Bad To me there's too many different issues they face which means it's going to be very hard to get a big globally successful era (except Gaga ) For example: Katy Perry's bubblegum pop is pretty much over, and unless Capitol allows her to change styles she is going to struggle with hits Taylor Swift is too over-exposed (even though she will still obviously get success because her team is so clever) Rihanna & Nicki Minaj's management/label have become very messy Adele has nothing inspiring to sing about (i'm sure she will still sell a lot of albums in the debut week obviously just not after) Beyonce's stuck with Tidal & her last 2 albums weren't even that successful anyway (her last huge hit was Telephone) Everyone hates Iggy & Miley Britney is over Thoughts? The public hates Miley but media for some reason loves her. Adele will possibly sing about being a new mom and relateable topics making some fans interested again, Nicki Minaj is allegedly leaving her current label and Katy Perry is rumored to be going rock next, there's a lot of talk about Gaga going rock so I think Katy has realized this and will kind of channel rockers as well. I agree Taylor Swift is way over exposed, she can't ride the 1989 wave forever, her times almost up. And with Iggy, I feel if she can align herself with the right management and label and is allowed to be herself rather than a manufactured singer created to fill an empty spot in hiphop, she might become more popular. And Britney? Everyone she works with still sees her as that 18 year old popstar from Baby One More Time, they haven't allowed her to grow and no one is interested in that anymore. Def Jam apparently has plans for Leona Lewis in the next few months to get her back on top.
