Just like your personality. Don't be mad though, I'm just using my FREEDOM OF SPEECH!

Fave post.

Yes they do... :awkney:

They determine physical gender.

I'm sorry but the ignorance

One does not need to go through genital surgery to be considered a woman/man. That is offensive and transphobic. Gender refers to how you identify yourself, not what you have going on down there. A transwoman who cannot afford the surgery to have her penis removed but still identifies as a woman, is a WOMAN. Not everyone can afford to fully transition.

Also, Conchita is a drag queen and queen is a feminine noun. So we refer to Conchita with female pronouns.

Is there something that you do on here besides "shading"?

you cant expect that only people who like the cover will respond in this thread

It's a guy, yes. He identifies as a male in his private life. Conchita is just a female character for his artistery.
So since this is about Conchita she has long hair and beard and she went topless.

OK, i'm just saying even if used in this context the connotation of topless is gone, and the beard the long hair, the tapes don't really add much. But perhaps I've been desensitised.

So many labelling. negative comments labelled transphobic, ignorant is OK. calling she a he or vice versa not OK. I think it is permissible that when someone refers someone by a pronoun they are not merely referring to their psychological gender, but also their biological s-x. Saying drag queen is a feminine noun is just conforming to antiquated views of society's perception of gender just as much as saying a term is only for girls and not for boys. If you're going to advance an argument you have to consider how much double standards you apply.

Gender identity is not the same as biological s-x.

I didn't say they were the same. I'm just saying that genitals determine physical / biological gender.

this

because we don't like it? Ok

you guys wouldn't have a problem to call a messy cover of katy, rihanna, britney or madonna a mess right?

the double standards in this forum I swear

they'll squeal transphobic because they're so easily offended that they can't see a mess...

if katy looked like a mess then she looks like a mess... If conchita looks like a mess then she does... No more no less... Conchita looks great sometimes And has a phenomenal voice... But this cover is a hot mess...

Yes, but in this discussion we're talking about Caitlyn's gender identity, which is female. Her having genital surgery or not doesn't define her as female.

It only features a person who identifies as trans and combines characteristics of both genders. If you think it's messy you think there's something wrong about being trans

Since when is intentionally combining traits of both genders considered "trans." I thought that was genderqueer? Transwomen may have a penis etc because they haven't had full surgery, but they don't go for ultra-masculine facial hair.

gen·der·queer
ˈjendərˌkwi(ə)r/
adjective

1.
denoting or relating to a person who does not subscribe to conventional gender distinctions but identifies with neither, both, or a combination of male and female genders.
"the genderqueer community"

noun

1.
a person who does not subscribe to conventional gender distinctions but identifies with neither, both, or a combination of male and female genders.
"a younger generation of self-proclaimed genderqueers explicitly reject ‘transgender’ as an identifier"
