Creyk 17,876
"Brainwashed"? Wow. You know, there's being critical, then there's reaching a point where it doesn't sound like you don't even like the Gaga. Then there's the total blanket insult of everyone that doesn't seem in unanimous agreement with you by name calling. Most of the disagreement here seems to be about whether they can mesh sonically or if what they produced would even sound like a Gaga song. I've seen near unanimous support for songs like "Just Dance" and "Starstruck", lots of people here want something "radio friendly", but since it's Gaga they also want something a little edgy or artsy or with a bit of humor too, or anything else that might let the song stand out as a "Gaga" song, and they are worried that a highly successful producer like Max, who is most well known for working with artists that have certain sounds, might make a Gaga song sound too similar to Katy or whomever. Others have been respectful and pointed out that Max works well with his artists, so that Gaga can put her own spin on whatever they produce, so there may be no need for those concerns and that it could be a very positive direction.Good god. Can people not disagree on this board without insulting everyone that doesn't share their ****ing opinion? And making personal attacks on the artist herself? Wow. Just Wow. calm down sis you seem a bit too bothered over a pop forumI'd rather have something cool like 1989 than something different for the sake of being differentLike if you want super experimental stuff go stan for bjork
Echo 327
I don't see why he couldn't produce a few songs. She's Lady Gaga, not Bjork She already makes normal pop music Mess @ all the people acting like it would suddenly make Gaga more generic to work with prominent song producers CLOCK THEM. Like, experimental, artsy pop bops?! What on Earth?! Lemme not...

CakeLikeLG 6,275
Max Martin can also produce flops. Look at "Your Body". I dont want Gaga to become a laughing stock because she works with "hit" producer and fails again live each day like Gaga might drop an album
LoveandMagic 1,731
calm down sis you seem a bit too bothered over a pop forum I'd rather have something cool like 1989 than something different for the sake of being different Like if you want super experimental stuff go stan for bjork Oh sweetie, if you had bothered to fully read my post, you would see I was/am calm and collected, but I am allowed to be a little bit irritated by your rudeness towards others opinions and disrespect of the artist you claim to be a fan of. No one expects you to lick her ass, but saying she "brainwashes" her fans is being nasty. That's a fact. Also I've stated many times that I've also enjoyed Gaga's more mainstream works and wouldn't mind if she tried being super radio friendly, because as I've said before, she's very good at it. What I was trying to do was clarifying what people meant when they said that they wanted something more "Gaga-ish." Gaga is an unique artist, whether in sound or fashion. People want her to make a smash "come back," hence they don't want her to come out with anything that sounds like another artist. When people say "basic" often they mean they don't want a certain formula, they want something more fresh sounding (and sometimes experimental sounds leads to mainstream so people often use that word). But I already stated this in my previous post. And I'm not the one attacking Gaga and anyone in her fan base with a different opinion, you sound more "bothered" than me boo. You complain about her a lot, obviously her choices make you unhappy, maybe you should follow your own advice and start stanning for some one else? Whatever. I'll just hit the "ignore" button, and your unpleasantness will cease to exist. Now you have a lovely evening, honey. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax." DiscoHeaven23 35,007
I get the whole artsy, sets herself apart stuff that we all know and love Gaga for. But what's the harm of one or two Max Martin produced songs? He's been around since the Backstreet Boy/NSYNC/early Britney days and had great success. And he's not basic like Dr. Luke, his production on one song can sound different from his production on another. He's produced songs for people you wouldn't even think too, like Celine Dion and Bon Jovi. I'm here for it. I'm here for it A LOT.
Dayum 240
The fact a producer is on demand does not make one incapable of artistic experimentation. The converse is true of these so called "obscure" producers. Denying her of creative input because of these unjustified assumptions is really nonsense.
