I also posted my own interpretation of the video, for those who care about that stuff:

[spoiler]

Together with the lyrical content of FourFiveSeconds and American Oxygen I'm really getting a complete picture that supports the themes in the BBHMM video for me. I feel very strongly about her first and last shot of her "resting" in her garden in a suitcase (used first as a burden and then as a prison in the video) full of cash instead of a chair, covered with the evidence of the mix of (1) frustration of moving to another continent to follow the American Dream, struggling and being betrayed for the perception of her as a dumb black girl and (2) her greed which allows her to enjoy a luxurious lifestyle while not being able to rest in it without mind-numbing substances she always had, rich or poor: alcohol, weed and her friends. That's where I see the clash of her look/outfits/playful actions and her luxurious surroundings coming together, especially at the end where she is entirely naked: she cannot settle in the life of the rich and famous (unlike the stereotypical rich white girl) and still feels the same, though being surrounded by the magnitude of what she worked for and it entering her emotional life resulting in a crisis only to be solved by a restless fix of d--gs and an inner obligation to stand up for herself.

"All of my kindness is taken for weakness."

Just my interpretation.

Omg why doesn't that work.

It took her this long to talk about it...oh wait...she doesn't write the songs and her writing team don't know her life... :teehee:

"this long"

Actually, those headlines are really really old and the video was shot a lot of time ago. In my opinion, she's done good not talking about how the video and the song were inspired by this so now it's a full surprise and not something we would have expected.

I though the video was just ok, tbh.
I though everyone knew about the accountant thing :P

ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.

Taylor is nowhere near going bankrupt though :smh:

At least Rih is generous in wanting to hand out money as proved by the BET Awards :lmao:

Great production. But a little bit basic. I mean, she wants her money :green:

The video was surprising, which is something I've never expected from Rihanna.

Apart from the beautiful cinematography, lighting, and editing, "Bitch Better Have My Money" took a dimwitted and extremely "pretentious" track and gave it something it was lacking from the beginning: a story.

Expertly shifting from a boastful track about power and assertion, the video for "Bitch Better Have My Money" places a new perspective on the song and flows with its lyrics like peanut butter and jelly. It has shock value, humor, and a great s-x appeal; Essentially something every video strives to do.

9/10
