Bonnie McKee: Katy hasn't started on her new album yet

Oh please girl.  The only queen in the studio is Gag's.  Katy pops up, says hi to Bobbie, goes over the songs that a team of 500 have slaved over while she toured, goes home, unhooks her bra, and let's out a huge fart.  YASSS I'm bitter.  Let the hate mail flow...

You're exaggerating.

I never denied that the concept was very deep, personal, and close to Bonnie and she identified with it very strongly, and it was hard for her to let Katy solely use it and release it under her name. So I don't know why you're arguing with me about it here. Bonnie also has said that she always had a teenage theme going on with her songs. What I am saying here is that Katy also had input on writing Teenage Dream and the idea and concept was something that Katy related to and identified with a lot as well (since it was around those time that she fell in love with Russell and started dating him), and Katy herself already had songs (such as One Of The Boys and some songs from her unreleased collection) that she wrote which are pretty close to the concept and idea of Teenage Dream, so it's not impossible that both Katy and Bonnie were thinking about the same concept, idea, and theme for a long time and when they finally met each other again they started writing together about it.

That wasn't the only thing I was saying and you're kind of off topic, but whatever.

Anyway, I'm not going to argue with you anymore because you're like, super irritating

:kissga:

And thank you for derailing yet another thread, in this case mine, into a whole Katy thing

Paper Planes

How are we not talking about the fact that Bonnie called Katy's "Birthday" a flop? :rip: Or that she called Christina's video for Let There Be Love half-assed? :rip:  Or hell, even that Bonnie McKee has a full album of bops waiting to be released?

delete it fat

You obviously don't know anything and are just blabbing out of your hate for Katy. Katy is in complete control of her career, image, and music in all directions. Katy is the boss and the CEO in her team and career and she drives the ship. She makes all the decisions about her songs, albums, art direction, music videos, choreography, photoshoots (album, magazine, etc.), performances, outfits, hairstyles, tours, and etc... They are all from her own vision and brain. Katy writes and composes the lyrics, chorus, melodies, and hooks of all her own songs and she tells her producers that how her tracks should sound like and be arranged, mixed, and produced and shouldn't sound like and be arranged, mixed, and produced. Katy comes up with the concept of all her songs on her own months before writing them. All the lyricists that she has ever worked with on some her songs from her discography and unreleased collection (Bonnie McKee - 8 songs, Ester Dean 2 songs, Sarah Hudson - 1 song, and Sia - 1 song) all have said that writing with Katy is TRUE co-writing and that Katy is the main writer behind her songs who comes up with majority of the ideas. All the things I just said were told by people who've worked with Katy including songwriters, producers, dancers, designers, stylists, directors, music industry and record label insiders (even Capitol's CEO said that Katy is the brains of her own operation, meaning that she is the driving force in her career, image, and music), managers, assistances, tour crew members, and etc... Katy even found her own record company last year. People like you to obviously don't know anything about Katy and her involvement in/with her career, image, and music. Please do some research before trying to sound smart.

Alright, so shes the captain of that ship? Great. Doesnt negate my opinion that she has no personality, no point of view, and nothing to offer except the usual cliche top 40 fodder for individuals that don't care about creativity or anything beyond the confines of mainstream thought. If anything it makes me like her even less knowing that shes truly in charge of her own dull mediocrity.

No personality? No point of view? Nothing to offer except for usual cliche top 40 fodder for individuals that don't care about creativity or anything beyond the confines of mainstream thought? You obviously have not watched any of her interviews and her movie, or know anything about her personal life and who she is, and only have heard her radio and chart topping hits. Bye!

Actually quite the opposite (although ive never actually sat through the entire movie, ive seen the first 10 minutes or so :adam:). Im not ignorant, I don't just hate artists because im some basic pop "stan" that has no spine or opinion. Ive listened to her albums, ive seen interviews, I know some about her personal life. None of it delivers anything of interest to me or imo popular culture in general. Shes made a catchy song or two, shes shoved down my throat as an american, all in all shes a big bore from her performance quality to her musical output and even her personal life a.k.a celebrity. Theres just nothing there imo. Shes like an overglorified Kelly Clarkson, a generic artist of which you hear as background noise while shopping for groceries or waiting in the dentists office. A ficus in a drab office building.

Quiz me on her discography then. What supposedly substantial contributions to pop music has she offered beyond the drab cliche ballad that proposes shes more than just top 40 fodder? Just Like the Movies? One of the indistinguishable ballads or mid-tempos from Prism? You're a Katy stan, I don't expect you to understand, comprehend, or validate my point of view and you've no reason to. But don't paint me ignorant :fthis:

guess you lost this argument everything he said is true and may I add Katy has no presence which is why she uses all that flair in her shows to distract from it and her lack of talent.

I agree with you here, except for the Kelly Clarkson part. That statement is an insult to Kelly, as Clarkson at least has excellent vocals. Katy will never come close to Kelly in that department!

Whispering

The gap between Teenage Dream and Prism was three years so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

(Which is funny because Fall 2016 is when TS6 should drop, so that should be interesting)

Oh yeah...I forgot about that! A Swift release that coincided with KP's next release would be interesting, as Taylor would have at least four times the album sales. Surely Katy's team isn't dumb enough to release during the same quarter, of even year really, that Taylor releases her next album.

just because she has her fingers in alot of pies, it doesnt make any of them good. What katy does is certainly not anything that takes any degree of skill.
