And I get really annoyed when people say Apple does programmed obsolescence cause they are the company that least does that, what other company keeps adding feature to a phone that was released 4 years ago? And let's not even talk about how they make OS X available to people that have 6 year old computers.I understand where you are coming from. But I still think they simply could have put it in the App Store. Plus, not everyone has money to pay for a contract. The iPhone 5C costs 400€ here in Portugal, and not everyone has the money for that. My phone wasn't even 100€, it has an operating system from 3 years ago and I can use Google Play Music just like the people with Android 5.1.1. You need to understand that they implemented Music like this so the experience the user has with the service is much more fluid than going to a non-native app and picking the song you wanna listen to, it's all inside the old Music app people already know and it is much faster for the user to adopt it. It is a great strategy, you don't need to be updated in the new technologies to know that AM exists and it brings much more people to the service. Of course, they could launch an app for that like they'll do for Android (because they HAD to, Apple Music is just a changed Beats Music and BM already existed for Android and they would lose customers otherwise) but then the user experience between the users would be different and it is just something that Apple does not do, they would rather lose their <4S public than coming up with an amateur service. Apple Music itself is a pricey service and it doesn't bring THAT much difference than Spotify, Play Music, Tidal and so on in therms of catalogue, so if you can't reach the requirements, just use the other services. Simple like that. Apple here is all about bringing a new user experience for music and conquering a new market and if that does not floats your boat there's another several streaming apps for you to try.
