I don't know any, but im guessing you're thinking American Life is one? :hunty:

... :green:

Wasn't actually thinking of any album in specific, just that general tier of album that nobody else touches :green:

But yes, AL is an incomparable masterpiece :hunty:

I don't think people like Born This Way for the music, it's the message of the album that make it good and "one of her best albums". But honestly I just like the singles from BTW and Scheisse, Bloody Mary. I think for example that ARTPOP and TFM has better music and more quality. But there is no doubt that BTW has a better and more distinct message than AP and her other albums.!But this is just my theory and what I think

Among the artists you listed, somewhat. I voted no, 'cause BTW is a masterpiece, but I put it on the same level as Blackout and Unapologetic.

(+ many Madonna albums can compete BTW in this field)

Erotica

Like a Prayer

Ray of Light

Music

Confessions

no need for American Life.

Although it could be included as well :fat:

I honestly don't get what's the big deal with Madge albums being "soooo great !!!1!11!1!" I enjoy few songs from her but I don't think all her material it's all that great (at least for me , don't know about others) and I find it even worse how her fans try shoving her albums down to others' throat telling how innovative and idk what else her music is (like how someone else here attempted to attack someone's music taste or idk what he even tried because the OP didn't included the 80's wave) I can understand this type of behavior on sites like FOTP or ATRL since they are forums for pop music

They really don't do it for me :toofunny: I'd rather listen to metal music

Music is really subjective and I don't think its quality should be measured in sales or success like some people in here do

In b4 some little Medonsters drag me for my "wrong opinion !1!1!11!!!!"

Andrei you're not fooling anyone, we know you don't like Madonna :usrs: Before you claim it is, this obviously isn't a drag - it's an explanation of why some people hold up Madonna albums as such a standard.

With the exception of American Life, the albums which most Madonna fans regard as being 'so great' all had fantastic critical reception too - metacritic scores above or equal to 80 (had metacritic been around at the time, LAP would've had a 92 and ROL an 87) and ROL, Music and LAP appear in the well known '1001 albums you must hear before you die' book. Obviously critics' opinions aren't the be-all but Madonna fans aren't alone in claiming how great some of her albums are and those opinions don't even root from their success in sales.

She has mediocre and just above average (or even bad) albums too and I doubt anyone would claim otherwise, but she still does have some shining examples of amazing lyrical content and innovation in sound and structure - even Hard Candy manages to succeed in that element.

If you don't like her albums (but I seem to remember you giving COADF ~9/10 in a review - an album that I would actually agree is entirely overrated :usrs: ) then that's obviously fine, but there's so much there and so much exploration of a specific sound at a time (pre-MDNA anyway :emma: ) and I don't even know how to finish this sentence so I'll agree that Rebel Heart (like ARTPOP) suffers from an 'everything but the kitchen sink syndrome' and she needs to get that in check.

Nope. There are far better albums out in the world from pop girls that are better in terms of quality. Half of the album is watered down to me. I love the other half but overall it just seems so bland.

If by best album ever you mean a flop that sold some cents only because it was riding the success that The Fame Monster had and that ruined her career then yes it is, otherwise not even close :saladga:

Monster2015

Yes. Why?

It had the biggest impact in pop culture out of all the albums I've seen by other major female pop artist, had very high album sales, had one of the biggest hits in her career (BTW), had one of the best selling tours (subtract the canceled shows), and it really put a stamp on her career. I don't think an album is solely great from sales, but its contribution to pop culture and the world. Not only was this album for music, but it motivated a group of people that many pop female artists wouldn't do (yes. the lgbt community)

Without a doubt.

I've been stanning pop girls for almost 20 years and Born This Way is the perfect pop album I've been wating for all that time.

I don't know about "ever" but it's definitely one of my top albums.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
