Whats her deal? Its normal that they wont get money for the first 3 months *facepalm*

It's definitely not normal for someone to provide a service/work for 3 months and not be paid :emma:

If you mean 'Apple is enforcing this on everyone' then yes, she's aware of that and if you even read her post she mentions that it's the smaller labels (who also disagree with this) that will be most affected by it, not her.

I edited my post but I'll copy it here instead :emma:

She isn't trying to say 'I and only I should be paid for for the first 3 months'

She is just destroying her image imo. In every site I checked the comments are 90% negative..She should start appriciating the fact that she is huge at the moment instead of trying to earn more money .

She just stands up for what she believes in. Since when is that wrong?
But isn't Apple greedy then, as one of the richest companies who refuse to pay for the music they're using?

Ιf they don't make sure that Apple Music will be successful then both the artists and the company will get less money.. They aren't going to get money the first 3 months either anyway

She seems greedy indeed, but she has a point. They should pay at least something for those 3 months of trial.

could be said about Apple too. I'm sure they have enough money to pay the labels those three months as well.

More importantly though, they won't be paying record labels anything during the first three months. Independent labels here in the UK could go bankrupt if they sign up to Apple Music

Wasn't Apple the richest company on the planet? It's really greedy of them to refuse to pay. And even if they don't receive any money for subscriptions during this trial they still be using the artists' products (their songs) and it's not fair to ask that for free. How is this 3-month thing without paying artists even legal? Unless Apple has made individual contracts with all the labels...

I totally support Taylor on this one. And another thing - Apple intentionally won't bring their new app to Android until the end of the trial because they see a competitor in the face of Google Play Music. And Google is not a company to f**k with.

FTFY.

Well that's business. The money earned by Apple on their electronics can't be used to pay those labels and artists on Apple Music. Their streaming service needs to earn money first to be able to pay the labels, artists, etc.

I guess that's how this **** works.

Missing the point entirely. "Smaller labels" ie. indie artists, those that aren't making much money.

Her action has the effect of making an impact that José Gonzales or the knife (don't know if either act are actually removing their stuff from apple, just a random name) would not have. The artists to whom the money actually will have an impact.

You're making it kinda obvious that you haven't even read her post :hunty:

It's not Taylors or any other artist responsibility to make sure that Apple succeeds.
It would be like if I opened a new store and I would demand groceries from the supplier for free for three months since I want to make sure that people will come to my store first.
Starting new services is about taking chances :smh:
