One of my black friends went off about this word when her dad was telling some white kid he shouldn't be saying it. She said something like "You say it though? Either it's ok and everyone can say it or it's not ok and no one should say it."

Honestly, I agree with her. It's an ignorant word and no one should be saying it, even if they're black, and if it's "romanticized" (like some people say it is, kind of a "kinship" word) then everyone should be able to say it.

agreed, black people (especially rapper) need to stop using it

they are also the ones to blame, if they didn't use it no one would do it, they are keeping it alive

My Favs = Lady Gaga, Janet Jackson, Ricky Martin, AKB48

Veronica is puerto rican though but yeah these whites and latinas need to stop using the N word in music. Iggy, J.Lo, That white rapper that is the son of some actor all learned the hard way.

Wait, J. Lo used the "n" word? :omg:

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

I'm black and honestly it doesnt bother me when white and hispanics use the N word but the fact that she says this word 33 times in the song is almost like shes mocking the way black people talk. Like how would she feel if someone used "spic" 33 times in a song.

But doesn't a lot of rap done by actual African Americans look like self-mockery? Repeating the N word and B word dozens of times, posing as gangsters and thugs, repeating tired stereotypes.

I don't think the problem is that she says the word here... But that her music sucks.

And ppl stop bringing Iggy into this the public turned on her for being unauthentic.

No one should be in the business of telling poets, even terrible ones, what words they can and can not use.

Prismatic

Nicki says it 39 times in Lookin Ass

But that song's actually good and a true bop missing from The PinkPrint (won't forgive Nekci for committing this blasphemy).
