Enhsa 2,043
today is a day to count your blessings, everyone, and on this day, most of those blessings are stuffed into Madonna's new music video for her admittedly catchy but ultimately tragic single, "B---- I'm Madonna." She pulled a Taylor Swift on this one, getting a bunch of celebrities to make appearances, but unlike Taylor, Madonna decided to forgo any kind of plot and just have some famous friends stroke her ego instead. Cool!In the video, you can see Beyonce, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Kanye West, Rita Ora, Chris Rock, and Nicki Minaj, but you can also see Madonna crawling along the hallway of some wacky party hotel. There are sock puppets, Madonna's sons show up ... it's a wild ride for sure. And it could be cool if, you know, it wasn't Madonna. There's just such a bad vibe with all of this, like Madonna's trying so hard to remain relevant that it takes away any coolness this could have. It's a shame, really.http://www.fishwrapper.com/post/2015/06/17/things-just-got-real-with-madonna-real-desperate/

Perfect Celebrity 1,541
Bad Blood had a plot? Yes lol. Taylor had to get revenge on Selena's character after she betrayed her in the beginning.

Prismatic 4,789
Why not have a fun video with friends. It fits the theme. When I heard the song, I thought of partying hanging out with friends, drinking, etc. Do they except a serious heart touching video with the song being "Bitch, I'm Madonna". GHGUY 230
She's not desperate. She's doing what we all wanna do in our 50s. Id rather be having fun, living life than to be sitting home with ****ing cats.I love how you go from partying in hotels and clubs to sitting at home with cats. Because that's all there is to do in life... No middle ground. I'm just gonna copy/paste what I wrote in another thread cuz it's essentially the same thing I would be saying: I'm sorry I'm a firm believer that there is a time and age for everything. If I saw a 20 or 30 year old still playing with toys and wanting to act like a baby/toddler, I would think there was something wrong with him or her and I bet you all would too. This is no different. I feel the reason a lot to you defenders of Madonna find it acceptable is because she is trying to appeal to your age demographic. Since many of you are at the age where it's okay to party and club and act wild and date people around their 20's you don't see why Madonna cannot either. Just like how little kids don't see anything wrong with a grown adult acting like a little kid on tv because that type of behavior is their norm. But when you see someone older (and 20-30 years older mind you) doing the same thing it just shows lack of maturity, and lack of maturity will bring on criticism by many. Many of of you keep claiming than she is fighting ageism but how is she really doing that? If she wants to show that older people can still party and have fun why is there no other 50 or 60 year old in that video? Instead it comes off more like "look, I'm still young, I'm still happening, I can be cool" if "b---h [she's] Madonna" then she has nothing to prove. She shouldn't try to fit in and she should just say "f*** you, I'm cool and I'm a bad b**** and I have nothing to prove" instead it seems like she does have something she wants to prove. Plus the song seems self-celebrating... Like great you're Madonna and you can do whatever you want... How can her fans or casual listeners relate to this? We certainly aren't Madonna and can't do all the things she can do on a daily basis. It it just seems odd that someone who had such a brilliant album like RoL that had such maturity for her to go back to this. Hard Candy, MDNA, and some of Rebel Heart just have such awfully immature songs that makes me question which Madonna I am to believe? The artist who sang frozen or the artist who is now shouting Bitch I'm Madonna. I don't see why her fans can't see why it's possible to be s-xy while still acting her age... Being in a party scene getting drunk and making out with hot young guys isn't s-xy... Not for a 50 year old and quite frankly not even for a 20 year old... It just looks sloppy. But to each their own it's a free country she can act however she wants... But she should also accept the fact that there will be criticism too.
