Neptune 156
Why not release rock versions on the deluxe edition? It'd be a lot less messy. This is not even messy, you guys live inside a box
DrewStevens 5,249
Considering that, and the fact that you believe that physical copies can't be a thing again, what do you think she could do to make her album desirable?Maybe something more modern like the supposed app we were getting where you could use the stems from the album to make a new mix or maybe include the demos of the songs on the album. Dorothy Gale 7,575
This is not even messy, you guys live inside a box Marketing three albums at once would be messy, and there's a big chance that people would buy the wrong album, or get confused. That surely won't increase the sales or make the fans go crazy and buy multiple copies...
Whispering 18,865
Yeah...this would never work and it isn't going to happen. Record labels don't have money for something like this in this market climate. No artist is ever going to please everyone, no matter what they do. There is no use trying to please everyone in this mess of a fanbase. If Gaga had listened to the short-sighted opinions here, she wouldn't have done C2C or even performed TSOM at The Oscars. "Trying to make everyone happy" is an impossible task. Gaga, her label and her team will do what's best for her and her brand and Gaga will continue to follow her vision and where her artistry takes her. DrewStevens 5,249
That surely won't increase the sales or make the fans go crazy and buy multiple copies...How do you know? How do you know better booklets are gonna make her sell more copies? If you already have one why would you want another? I think artists should care more about getting more fans than milking their already existing fans.

Vernier 3,786
It would also split her sales, which Interscope would not want. Lbr, most peope crying for a rock album, would still buy a pop album if she made one, so why potentially split all the sales that could have gone into one pop album into three different genres? Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn
TEANUS 15,023
All of you saying they would split the sales are wrong. The album wouldn't even have to be titled differently, they could just have different covers or something like that. Shania Twain did something similar for her Up! album. She released a double disc album, one disc had country versions and the other had pop versions. It's a little different since your discussing separate discs, but, it worked out great for her British social ladies with upturned pinkies, glasses clinking // xoxoTEANUS
Helix 1,474
I like the idea but I don't think it'd work to well. Having everything split up like that could be confusing to the consumers & to Gaga/her team because like which version would get performed/ sent to radio/ etc? Not to mention, not all songs are meant to be performed in different genres. Like take West Coast by Lana Del Rey. It has a rockier feel to it, and I sure as hell couldn't imagine it'd sound very good being produced in the same pop-y orchestral way of Born To Die. LoveandMagic 1,731
I can sort of see it working, but instead of three have two. Kind of (sort of) like how The Fame Monster was often packaged with The Fame. The pop (more commercial side) would be the primary album and then the "B Side" would be more stripped down or rock/soul etc versions of the songs on the "A" side. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
judxs 762
Omg that's such a good idea! But the problem would be - she would be able to promote only ONE version of the "album" as her label wouldn't accept promoting three at once. But I see what you mean, it maybe a way that it could work!it would make sense to promote the pop album as it would do the best commercially, but i do still think it could work if she released 3 at the same time, but kept the pop record at the forefront!
