Spock 20,290 Posted June 12, 2015 Share Posted June 12, 2015 Okay, so I just got home from seeing Jurassic World and it was SO GOOD.The story is pretty much like in the trailers, except a few details about a couple of things that I won't spoil for those who don't want to know, so it's pretty straight-forward. A boy and his brother go to the park for a week, everything works fine, the park's scientists have been experimenting with genetic manipulation to keep in touch with what a modern audience wants, a genetically modified hybrid dinosaur escapes, eats people, kills dinosaurs, breaks stuff. Even though it's predictable, it's never annoying or boring. Like, you clearly know from the beginning who will survive and who is going to get it, or what will happen, but it's still super tense and there are a few scares. Brice Dallas Howard plays the park's day to day manager and Chris Pratt is an ex-army (navy or something) person that trains the Velociraptors in order to be able to tame and control them. He is brought in by BDH to check the Indominous Rex's pen, and that's when **** starts to happen. Overall, the acting was solid (if Chris Pratt is the next Indiana Jones, I'm 100% sold) but the writing was a bit cringey at times. It's incredibly fun and engaging, so if you have the chance go see it!
