Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett will not reschedule London show..

Hmmm :miley:

I am glad that Tony is not seriously ill, and getting better.

I accept and respect that Gaga did not perform half a show that she hadn't rehearsed alone due to Tony, and understand this was also out of respect for Tony.

I can also believe when they say they cannot fit it into the schedule again (bearing in mind the Royal Albert is probably chocka too).

However, I can't feel a little bit frustrated and disappointed by this whole incident.

Because, actually, she did perform that evening. Only not for the people who had paid and travelled to see her. Instead, without warning she performs for a completely different crowd at a different venue.

On top of my ticket, I spent £189 ($294.00) travelling to this event and paying for accommodation. I will not get any of this back, and this is not a small amount of money for me. Others at the event were in a similar position, and understandably frustrated.

Looking back at her twitter / Instagram feed, I don't feel we really got any sort of apology for the disappointment. Read it back. There isn't really an apology.

So, I was waiting outside, hoping that as some consolation for the cancelled event she might spend some time with fans and well-wishers. Instead, four hours later the limit of our interaction is a Bentley rushing out, barely stopping to avoid running over people. No 'hello', not even a wave.

And now, the event is full on cancelled-never-gonna-be-rescheduled.

Yeah - I am not going to stop listening to her music or identifying as a fan, but with the objective perspective of my friends and other non-fans, I'm not sure it was the best way she could have dealt with the cancellation, so I do feel frustrated and disappointed.

As much as I hate to say it I do kinda agree, usually she is super apologetic/upset where show cancellations are concerned but she didn't really seem phased by this & it really surprised me.

Luckily I got to see her Monday but if I had been seeing her Tuesday I would've been so upset, and her tweet with the 'Don't worry, we got you' would have rubbed me up the wrong way a little... like she didn't seem massively phased or bothered by the fact that the show got cancelled.

This might not necessarily be true but I kinda get the sense that the C2C dates are not as important to her as her own tour dates. Of course she clearly adores her time on this tour, but because the audience is kinda split 50/50 between her fans and then an older generation of Tony fans I feel like she isn't letting people down as much if that makes sense?

As when I saw her Monday she was talking about Wellchild and stuff and talking about donations and said something along the lines of - 'to be honest if you bought a ticket to this show you're clearly doing well (as in financially) so can afford to donate to good causes' which kinda threw me a little bit because I know a lot of people who attended that show who are just ordinary fans and definitely aren't massively well off or anything. Idk I could be imagining it completely but that sentence mixed with her being unphased about missing the show kinda gives me the impression she doesn't feel missing this is as important as missing say an ARTRAVE date or something. (Which I can kinda understand) but it's still awful for the fans who have travelled and made financial/physical arrangements to be somewhere.

I'm really glad someone else is finally speaking out about being upset at the cancellation and lack of apology, I was shot down in flames when I expressed it at the time. People making out like I had no care for Tony's health, calling me selfish for daring to care about how much money I'd wasted there and back.

I'm also jealous about how she went out and performed that night at a bar with little notice at all, I'd went to bed in tears because the show was cancelled

I don't really blame her for going out and performing. In fact I love that she did that - her going out and about (especially in NY in the past) to random dive bars and jazz clubs and playing some live music was one of the things I adored about her, she's so spontaneous and a real musician at heart and her doing things like that really shows it. I've missed seeing her do things like that and seeing her do it as somewhere as iconic as Ronnie Scotts is really cool. But I suppose if she had missed my date and had gone and performed somewhere else I would've been a little jealous, but I wouldn't say 'annoyed'.

I think she was caught between a rock and a hard place though - she clearly was ready to perform and wanted to get out and do something. As much as fans would've loved the scenario of her doing the show at the Royal Albert Hall alone without Tony, it could have just NEVER happened - so nobody can be annoyed with her for not doing that. It just wouldn't of been possible - firstly there's a whole bunch of people wanting to see Tony too, and if the venue allowed just gaga to go on, people would've been disappointed as it would be a choice of just see gaga, or see neither and lose your money, because I'm sure if they allowed gaga to put on the show, people would not have been allowed refunds for their tickets.

So with that in mind I think what she did wasn't unfair - she couldn't have exactly tweeted about what she was doing because the place would've become rammed and there would've been even more chaos than there already was (nobody knew she was gonna be there and yet look how many paps there was etc). So yeah I don't think her performing at Ronnie's was a bad thing, it's just a shame that fans had to miss out, but there isn't really much else she could have physically done.

I just think she could've been a little more apologetic that's all - and maybe came out and spent just a few minutes chatting to some of the fans outside of the RAH.

I edited my post, I chose the wrong word when I was typing :laughga: it's really just jealousy that I missed her at the RAH due to cancellation and missed her again because I didn't think she'd make any appearance

I love that she goes out to random bars and performs locally

I too thought that it was going to be a 50/50 split of fans representing, but to be honest, if we are drawing lines in the sand I felt more people were probably there for Gaga - on the Tuesday at least.

Also, yes, a bit of a crass comment from one of the wealthiest entertainers in the world about "you're clearly doing well". Poor choice of words.

I can't hide it: I am really disappointed, I have flown from Italy to see them perform live and I have been waiting for that show for 7 months and yeah

I don't get why she couldn't have gone out and performed without him... it did come across as kind of insensitive that not only did she not really apologise or seem upset on social media but she also went out and performed at an unrelated event while many of her fans were probably incredibly upset/having to deal with spending a lot of money over nothing.

Because it's not a Lady Gaga concert and it would be pretty disrespectful to not only Tony but Tony's fans in attendance. It wasn't her place to go forth with the show without the other half of the act.

And really, do you expect her to cry and sit in her hotel room? C'mon, she wasn't the reason for the cancellation so she has nothing to feel bad for, and everyone is getting their money back.

I was really looking forward to seeing them perform live at the Royal Albert Hall and when I was told that "the event won't take place anymore" I was really sad + disappointed. I have flown from Italy to see them and I can assure you it is not about the money (I will get a refund).

I would be so pissed at this show being cancelled if I hadn't of made it to Ronnie's ahaha. She only booked Ronnies 3 hours before, and that hour show >>>> C2C tour

I feel sorry for those of you who planned the whole thing and it didn't work out. I've been there, and it's a feeling you can't describe.

However, I wonder, why can't they reschedule the show? They're coming back to Europe. I don't see problem? Is it because of the venue being full or something?
