She represents everything thats wrong with the music industry. Almost to the point of gloating about how terrible she is.

Let's look at her job:

She is a pop singer. This means she should qualify by doing the following to a good standard:

Singing

Dancing

Songwriting

Instrument Playing

Music Producing

She's in a unique position as a popstar because she literally has NO talent.

Mariah/Whitney/Christina had the voice

Britney/Janet/Madonna had the dance skills

Gaga/Sia/Kesha/Adele write the music

Popstars are notorious for not being a full package, but get away with it for being AMAZING talents in at least one field of their craft.

Katy is none of these. She is simply a vessel for Dr Luke to make money. She has no special talent or quality.

It actually saddens me that record labels have thrown so much money at what is essentially an inferior product marketed as gold. Yet talented artists, singers & dancers are left to rot, never getting their break.

I'm ashamed to know peopke that are fooled into supporting such a worthless and insincere product. I expect people to have more intelligence.

katy works with the same producers as kesha, and every producer katy has ever worked with has stressed the fact that she is involved 100% in everything she does--writing, her videos, and such. and if you're pressed enough to deny that (you probably are) you really should look into the countless interviews of producers and people who work with her all saying the same thing: that she is very much in control.

 

meanwhile, kesha has no say in her "artistry" whatsoever. one example automatically is Animal the song. we all know she's not happy with how it turned out on the record. or Die Young, the chorus to which she wasn't even allowed to write, and so Nate Ruess did.

 

so don't even try, because everything you say just looks stupid

 

and gaga has produced ONE song out of her discography. sure, she has credits for "co-producing," and i don't deny that she was involved in the production, but that does not mean she's PRODUCED those songs. katy has a credit for co-producing a song or two too, so there goes another point of yours. PLUS katy has three songs on her first album that she wrote alone, as well as even more on her early christian record.

 

dancing? gaga can't dance for **** love her, really do, she's talented in many other ways, but dancing is not one of them. neither is katy. so who cares?

 

and PLEASE don't even try saying katy doesn't write her music. you'll just look a mess. again, i will refer you to the multiple times all her collaborators and producers discuss her involvement. 

 

as for instrument playing, gaga plays piano (very well), and katy plays guitar. they both used to write their songs on instruments before recording the final versions of their songs, but now that doesn't seem to happen anymore, which is a shame. regardless, again, research before you make all these moronic claims.
