Pop Art 1,773
That's actually a really good setlist. She incorporated literally all of her singles (except for Thinking of You and Waking Up in Vegas) and still fit in all the non-singles from Prism and one one the bonus tracks. (And for all we know, that "Megamix Dance Party" could include remixes of the two remaining bonus tracks from Prism plus the two singles not included in the setlist. Just a thought.) I bet her devoted fans and casual listeners alike would love this setlist, which is exactly how it should be.
Gagz 2,579
She's not even doing all Prism songs, her hits are obviously gonna be put 1st.... what a mess She only left out 2 bonus tracks. Gaga didn't perform all ARTPOP songs either. It's not common practice to perform every song from an album.
Teri Hatcher 2,053
what is an "prismassic tour" By the time you reach the end of this sentence, it'll be too late to realize I just wasted your time with a pointless sig.

StrawberryBlond 14,900
13 new songs and 9 (and a half) old songs? Yeah, that's definitely more of a greatest hits tour than a standard album tour. I really don't like this current trend of mashing up new songs. Mash-ups are much better utilised by condensing the old hits so that they only take up the space of 1 song and don't overshadow tracks from the new album. When you're a huge pop hit machine like Katy, you're going to have a ton of old hits that your audience will want to hear and you can't perform them all in full or it'll just be like previous tours all over again, which isn't the point. She's performing all 8 singles from Teenage Dream, 7 of them in full and one as part of a mash-up. That is insane. She did so many gigs with that album that I'm sure everyone has already seen them live and don't need the full set again. Yeah, a lot of her fans didn't get to see Part of Me or Wide Awake performed live because she was wrapping up the tour when she released them, so those choices are understandable. But to keep her lesser hits (especially from a worldwide perspective) like ET, Last Friday Night and The One That Got Away is really milking it. I think it's obvious that this setlist is constructed the way it is because her label realise that Prism is having nowhere near the impact or the memorability of Teenage Dream. Unconditionally was a humdinger of a flop and it's early days, but Birthday is going that way too. Roar is probably going to be the only undisputed hit from this album (Dark Horse was more of a phenomenon in the English speaking world). I think that's why unmemorable filler tracks like This Moment, Ghost, Double Rainbow and Love Me are being mashed-up, so as not to bore the audience. Say what you want about Teenage Dream, but at least it was memorable and all those tracks were designed to be performed live, except Who Am I Living For. I haven't seen any Katy fans gushing about all the tracks that they can't wait to hear her sing this time, they just want the big hits. But I wish artists wouldn't keep gearing their tours towards the general public. I've always hated this notion of packing setlists with old songs, especially when it means some of the new ones get cut. We're hear to listen to your current album, and every song should be performed from it. Old songs should be kept to a minimum and how many there are should depend on how long your current album is. If you've only got a 10 track album, that leaves ample room for as many as 10 old songs or more. But when you've got 14+ songs on an album, you've got to reserve only the biggest hits to revisit. For singers as old as Madonna, with 12 albums, they've got to be really strict and limit those old songs to the one biggest hit from each album and skip lesser hits preceding the floppier albums. But it seems that artists don't care about giving their fans everything these days and just care about the casual fans coming to hear the hits and it defeats the whole purpose of touring with a new album. Now, I may not be a Madonna fan but it did bug me to hear that one of the biggest complaints from MDNA concert attendees was that she didn't perform enough of her old hits. It's not a greatest hits tour, it's for her current album, what did you expect? I will give Madonna props for still giving a damn about her new album and representing it well on tour, though, because most artists who get to her age and album count realise that their fans no longer care for their new work and just do a greatest hits tour under the guise of the new album. MelbHawker 6,583
There's an acoustic section of the show.. The only thing i dont like is that she's opening with Roar, shouldnt even be included Are you saying 'Roar' shouldn't be included at all? It's her biggest hit and it's from the album the tours for. I don't understand. Are you okay?
