hahaha but I don't care what you think about ARTPOP, or MDNA, so what are you trying to do here?

In my opinion (<<<real important, that part right there, take note, it could be helpful) MDNA is a weak album. The music is weak. Her efforts come across as weak. Her tour is a greatest hits re-run with added autotune.

Thanks for your time, I really enjoy this reminder of how disappointing MDNA is, it makes other albums seem so much more worthwhile in comparison.

Okay, you've never had a valid discussion anyways.

let me just remind you:

Yet what u said 5 minutes before that comment...

Okay.

I've decided I'm skipping this tour. She's not worth $150 for floor and lower level seats, imo :manicure: I didn't even pay that for Gaga.

That's what I said. Says her prices are cheaper and they're like 3x the price? Lol bye.

Guys, If you don't like Perry, don't come in to her threads. Leave your pressed-souled comments in your night prayers PLEASE!

Yet you're completely ignoring songs like Falling Free, Masterpiece, Love Spent, I'm Addicted, Some Girls, I'm A Sinner, Beautiful Killer, I Don't Give A.

Which are all arguably good songs.

Sure I can discredit ARTPOP and be like "Its a weak album, it has lyrics like you're just a pig inside a human body" (I'm just going by your logic.)

I don't think MDNA is a bad album (very catchy actually), but what makes it underwhelming imo are two things: 1) It lacked the ambition Madonna is famous for. If you think about it, each album from Like a Prayer to Hard Candy at least tried something new in genre or concept, even if it wasn't a complete commercial success. I'm guessing she was just tired after directing that movie or whatever. 2) Vocals. I know she isn't known to have the best voice.. especially now that she's older, but she can definitely, DEFINITELY do better than to filter and process it to the point of sounding shrill and little-girly. What makes Beautiful Killer the one really awesome song on the album is that it's faithful to what she really sounds like, giving it more "soul" so to speak... my two pennies.

I was thinking about this...and I wonder, Why is it so easy for Katy to get to No. 1s compared to other artists?

And No, it's not because of "generic" songs or "Dr. Luke". Because if that was the case then a lot of other artists would be going No. 1 easily, cuz Dr. Luke works with soooo many artists.

Also, there are hundreds of other artists who make "generic" music....but not all of them can easily snatch No. 1s.

It feels like any song that Katy is going to release will be a sure shot No. 1, of course with the exception of Uncle. And with her, if her songs don't go No. 1, it's kinda shocking. lol I get it that she makes fun pop songs but so many others do as well...

What's her secret? :

Probably a combination of really catchy songs, a simple message/lyrical theme, good promotion and the right release time :ohwell:

I know a lot of Gaga fans can't see it, but Katy is actually pretty unique. She stands out from other pop stars and people are interested in her. Her music is also very relatable/universal and isn't always about partying and s-x.
