I expected something similar to Chromatica but a bit more dark, but we got something way better

Not at all. I thought it would be like a Rammsien-like light pop banger from that small snippet in Paris. What we got was better though. I'm super happy with what we got.

I think what I am most pleased about is that the song songs exactly like the clip she played from her laptop in Paris.

i was concerned we would have another “Babylon (Early Version)” situation where we thought we would get something and it turned out to be drastically different.

It was waaaaaaaaay more than what I thought it would be. I’m still in shock with the song tbh, I feel the magic with this song I haven’t feeling for a long time

When it started with the chant I was like ok… as expected 

then verse hit it was like.. hang on….

then the refrain was… WHAT

then the pre chorus was.. DAMNN 

then the chorus was.. WE ARE SO BACK.

That’s all I can describe, by the time she did that operatic bridge, I was just floored…

I never thought we’d ever see like this again

this has not happened in over 10 years. I’ve never wanted to replay a Gaga song so often.

i never thought she’d be able to deliver something EPIC and GOOD and CATCHY and next level since BTW

everhthing on ARTPOP was good but never exceeded or stood the test of time. Aura was SO epic when it leaked.  And still is great.

and then Joanne was extremely tame and mid for Gaga. Not bad, but not at all remarkable. And not my person taste of music.

and chromatica was cute but only 4 songs on the album stood out to me and sadly the rest are all skips and mid for me.

So when LG7 singles rolled around, my expectations were non existent. I’d given up any hope that she’d be able to do again what I use to love about her. I accepted that the music would be generic and possibly cringe… 

abracadabra alone is greater than everything she’s done since BTW imo.

Far surpassed. I didn't think she'd ever put out new music that I'd rank anywhere near Poker, Face, Bad Romance, Telephone. I'm curious if I'll forever like the song similarly to how much I do now or if the novelty of it will eventually wear off, eventually lowering my ranking of it.

It was the snippet that got me the least excited but I was still very intrigued.

I had no idea what to expect, but certainly not that.  As someone said, I was surprised that the snippet wasn’t changed at all, but when the actual song started post-intro, I was completely gagged. I trusted her, I knew it would be great, but THAT great??
