Its to each their own. But you can't deny that she has been doing really well in the music scene, which is her field. Compared to Miley, Gaga, Britney, Beyonce etc. It is actually Katy, who is maintaining her success. (Even though Miley can't be on that list since she is new, but I put her on there because Katy got bigger album sales then her, even though Miley has been the talk of the town). Taylor Swift *WAS. After all the "boyfriend" scandals, she has been getting a lot of heat from the public. So no, not a lot of ppl like her outside of her fanbase. Getting to No. 1 seems like a cake walk for Katy and she does not get a lot of hate as much as the other girls in the business. (Esp. Gaga, Miley & Beyonce). And her album sales have improved termendously as well. I think America seems to love her. It can be because she does have a VERY likeable personality. What do you think? This is not to compare her to other girls. This is only to discuss if Katy is America's Sweetheart when it comes to music. I only used the other girls as a reference to show my point.
