I dislike her but I thought I'd give the new album a go. I'm actually pleasantly surprised. Up to 'Ghost' (which I really, really like)

Have it not directly faced Blurred Lines, Roar would have spent more weeks at the top of the HOT 100 chart. It's a shame that despite its massive sales, it only managed to get a 2-week stint. But anyway, congratulations to her! Looking forward to the future singles.

It has the unusual distinction of spending 2 weeks at #2 behind 3 different songs - Thicke, Miley, and Lorde.

Also topped BL airplay on both Pop and Hot AC.

Roar started to lose steam now, a bit like jackrabbit BTW.

Call Me Maybe sold 3 million before it even began it's 9 weeks #1.

I think this girl might actually get her first Grammy. :omg:

As much as I'd like to see her get her long-overdue and well deserved Grammy, sales really have little to do with it.

It's not so much the sales that made me think that though. The sales, to me, simply represent how many people really like the song enough to feel it is worthy of buying. I dislike it, but it's appealed to many people so far, and I think appeal certainly has something to do with the Grammy's. Ultimately, it's people who decide what wins. They aren't people of the general public, but they have opinions like everybody else, and their opinions might be similar to those people who are paying for this track.

I didn't mean to make this as condescending as it ended up sounding. I'm just trying to make my thoughts as clear as I can. I hope there's no misunderstanding.

That's a very smart way of looking at it :)

"I feel my Lotus bloom..." lyric in Legendary Lovers. Rise up, PRISM, rise, this is the beginning :legend:

I wasn't too impressed with this album(with the songs). The songs Legendary Lovers and the singles so far were the only songs I enjoyed. The album was a lot more cohesive than TD.
