Of course she has something to prove still. She has to prove that she has a place in music in the 2010s - and she's not doing that. You can't blame her lack of commercial success with MDNA on her "not having anything to prove anymore" that's rubbish. As for the quality of her music decreasing as of late - that's down to her. She picks her producers and she picks what kinda music she makes. She made lazy choices on MDNA.

As for collaborating with Katy Perry on an art project  :toofunny: It's like being paired up with a not-so-smart kid in class becuase the teacher knows you're a grade A student and you might be able to help her a bit

What I don't understand is, that album sold almost 2 million copies, and you guys are acting as if its a flop, and its her 12th studio album

That's the range of what ARTPOP, Prism, Bangerz and Pure Heroin sold.

The album is good.

MDNA, by her standards, is weak. I don't care about sales, I care about good music.

*Masterpiece, Falling Free, Love Spent, I'm Addicted, Girl Gone Wild, Gang Bang and Some Girls are all good songs

Falling Free is a brilliant song. Gang Bang sounds like a demo, it's so underdeveloped and could have been so much more. The rest are meh to good songs. Overall the album is weak. It's simply not an important album. Who cares about it in 2014? What does it have to offer anybody? It's a reminder that she's gotten lazy with albums. They're just a means to redo her greatest hits tour every other year to pay the rent.

- In your opinion -

Just because its not her best album doesn't mean its bad, who will care about ARTPOP in 2015? who will care about Prism in 2015? who will care about Pure Heroin in 2015? these are all hit albums that will be forgotten next year (most likely).

Expecting Madonna to leave a legacy or an impact and top herself with each album when her past albums have been so amazing is just a bad and a delusional way of thinking.

Yep in my opinion it's a weak album. Im not looking for any reinforcement of my opinion from you or anybody else, don't worry.

Expecting an artist to put their all into their work isn't delusional.

*Yet you're completely ignoring songs like Falling Free, Masterpiece, Love Spent, I'm Addicted, Some Girls, I'm A Sinner, Beautiful Killer, I Don't Give A.

*Which are all arguably good songs.

*Sure I can discredit ARTPOP and be like "Its a weak album, it has lyrics like you're just a pig inside a human body" (I'm just going by your logic.)

hahaha but I don't care what you think about ARTPOP, or MDNA, so what are you trying to do here?

In my opinion (<<<real important, that part right there, take note, it could be helpful) MDNA is a weak album. The music is weak. Her efforts come across as weak. Her tour is a greatest hits re-run with added autotune.

Thanks for your time, I really enjoy this reminder of how disappointing MDNA is, it makes other albums seem so much more worthwhile in comparison.

*Okay, you've never had a valid discussion anyways.

*let me just remind you:

I don't care about sales. Sales don't change my opinion on the quality of music. MDNA is one of her (if not THE) worst selling album. That's an undeniable fact. Also happens to be a weak album musically - something I formed an opinion about on first listen, before sales were reported. Funny that.

It will be interesting to see Dark Horse's chart run in Europe. I predict that it won't go top 5 in France, Germany or Italy.

ThisGuyTony

When I saw that the artRave was not coming to my state, I died a little inside.

However, to turn my frown upside down, Queen Katy announced the Prismatic World Tour and it is coming to my city on September 30th, so I am now saving up my coins to go. :legend:

So is anyone else attending this will-be masterpiece show?

I know I am! :D
