After that, the physical CD version of the album started to reach brick-and-mortar retailers, and the download became available to other retailers. There's the reason why it sold so much. Congrats to whoever thought of that idea. The funny part of this is that they probably did this to avoid single floppage drama... but they ended up with a gem of an idea, which prevented leaks and forced everyone to buy the album. I feel like it's Bey's "comeback album" that officially establishes her as a pop legend (kind of like Ray of Light and The Emancipation of Mimi).
