​They're both $9.99. Spotify has discount for students, $4.99. Hope Apple adds a discount like that too.

But Apple has $14.99 for a family of up to 6 people. Spotify has a $14.99 plan for only 2 people and I think $29.99 for 5. And I've seen articles saying Spotify has plans to match Apple's family plans. So Apple has already made some impact especially for families. Tidal could never.

Log in, then it should ask you what college/school you go to. Then it should confirm that you're now getting the student discount. And it'll be applied to next month's payment. If it fails to verify that you're a student you can go to https://spotify.sheerid.com/ to do a manual vertification. I don't know much about the manual verification cause I didn't have to do it.

​Yeah, as the person who I quoted already alluded to  I was pointing out that that specifically is not a unique feature to Apple Music.
