    • I'm not sure... need to hear some music first and then talk about the image.

They are indeed. Twiggy was big in the mid-60s, not 70s. The OP should be fixed to say 60s for the aesthetic its referring to!

I'm very over glossy 60s inspired fashion in pop culture, - however, I'd love to see some 70's bohemian realness from Gaga! Gaga looks great with natural make-up. Think Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks ....

oops thats right, I google/wehearted her as'twiggy 70s' and those photos appeared! fixing it, thanks!

I like it, it's cute, but it has been sooo over-used already...also, whatever is the inspiration for the visual language of her next album, it has to match the music - and since we don't know what kind of music she's making...

I think a minimalist style would look nice on her and it would go perfectly with both electronic music, a more acoustic/organic sound or pop-rock (if that's what she's planning to do, which I doubt)...

ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.

Does she always need to refer to a specific older aesthetic/figure though?

Imo it only makes her look more inauthentic.

I agree. I want more original moments but I don't see it happening sadly.

I believe the most original aspect of her fashion is the uncommon mix of clothing and technology, so that's literally up in Haus of Gaga's hands. While it looks less probable as years without new techy outfits pass by, she can still surprise us all with something next year. For example: a 60's inspired dress that shines or has color changes depeding on temperature, who knows.
