I will give them the applause :applause:

why is the G7/8/20 hated so much?

Because 1. all those meetings cost tons **** of money and nothing good comes out with it2. It's only good for big companies 3. This especially is hated because of that Free Trade 4. it'S 1000000% capitalism

1. It does cost a lot of money if you look at the number, but that's without nuance. Giving nuance to it, it's not actually that much. And also, the money is earned back with better teamwork.

2. I disagree. They talk about problems in the world, like poverty, war, environmental problems, unemployment, education, etc.

3. Free Trade isn't bad. The problem here is that the US has less rules than the EU, when it comes to food safety, etc. And of course big companies suing countries isn't where we want to go. That's why we should oppose it, but in general I do support more trade unions and such, because I support internationalisation and globalisation.

4. I don't know what the G7 has to do with capitalism. And I don't get why capitalism is such a bad system (you can also be a capitalist country and still have a good social welfare, like in Sweden) and what the other options would be. I think what you're against is neoliberalism (privatisations, low amount of rules, cuts in healthcare and such).

It's fun to be young and feel like an activist for all good causes, but you have to look at the nuance and possible fixes for things :laughga: I do think however that it should be extended to a 'G10' with Brazil, China and India. And perhaps kick Canada out or fuse it with the US as one vote, considering it's not really a big economy.
