OPINION: There is no reason for Lady Gaga to underperform for the next one

There are PLENTY of reasons why the next one can flop. The music industry is not static. Different blokes with different strokes come into the picture every three months and change the game. The game is not the same one Gaga dominated in 2009/2010. Remember that. It's not as general as we try to make it out to be. 

If they want a smash hit, they need to make a smash hit. From what I gathered, Jimmy Iovine basically had to resort to using Applause as the lead single, because nothing else was really doing it for him. Just Dance was an instant decision. Bad Romance was an instant decision. Make a single that makes everybody say, yes this is the one. 

Without a smash, you won't see the type of figures that Katy and Taylor get.

And her videos should be more relatable, I mean, they should not be like a remake of the Exorcist. Also look, when she releases the next album it will be almost two years and a half since ARTPOP. There will be no reason for her to say that she did not have the time to plan her videos, the timing of the singles and the management.

​Actually ARTPOP wasn't a bad album, imo. It had the potential to chart well so it's not ARTPOP's fault it underperformed, but the poor promotion after Do What U Want. So promotion and good music should exist together, merely good music won't do enough justice.
