She just had an off moment. Each video I see from C2C tour I am more surprised at how strong her voice is getting. Her technique has improved GREATLY from her belts at TMB back in 2010-2011. Listen from 2:00 on, she sounds beautiful.

I hear more progression than damage. I think she's fine.

We can hear that she's not using her vibrato as much as she did in the past (especially at the end, with the high notes) + the high notes are not long.

I know, it must be ridiculous to some of you... But I'm a bit worried.

I had chills all through - 1:25-1:40 and the way she said "I shot ya down" was totally pop-ga sounding!! She sounds GREAT guys! I don't understand

Don't know... :ohno: But I'm sure she's taking care of her voice!

I'm more concerned with what's going on in her head and the ideas people are implanting in it. Her voice has always shown a variety of different ranges, but maybe it's the alcohol?

When she's in the studio, she's careful to blend her head and chest registers, which results in a healthy and beautiful sound (Aura chorus/DWUW bridge are good examples). When she sings live, and especially when she gets caught in the moment, she has an occasional tendency to drop technique and belt the high notes, which her voice isn't built for.

At the Oscars, she hit those high notes pretty faultlessly.

The fact that you are trying to deduce such a thing from low-def videos with sh!tty audio... :saladga: Don't worry, she is fine, people seeing her live hear something different from what you are thinking you hear. Her vocals are great.

I think she was just a bit out of breath, the note she hit after that sounded pure to me

She really should stop smoking though...just my opinion :ohno:

Agree 1000% with you :tea:

well the rest of the vibrato especially during the higher notes during other parts still sound pure and clean, i dont think two small moments determine a major change in her voice. also, it could be the sound, since people where clapping loudly during those moments, thus suppressing the overall sound of her voice.

this is an amateur recording after all

She's training her vocals differently also because of the Jazz thing, her voice is stronger than it ever was though.

I think overall her voice is getting better, and she's been using more techniques we haven't seen her do much before. There are also probably periods of time where her voice is a little off due to normal reasons (idk, sometimes when I try to sing it sounds AWFUL, and other days I can belt out some pretty good stuff effortlessly :emma:).
