During a crisis the best way to increase purchasing power is with government debt. The resulted inflation helps the economy because it makes the debt worth less, which means that the government debt earned actually didn't really worsen the gvt debt as a percentage of the economy.Usually this would lead to mechanisation and higher unemployment, but I don't think it would in the US, where businesses make a lot more and the most goes to the richest. If u wanna raise the cost of hiring at the very least give it to the worker. Raise minimum wage by $1/h instad of this dumb fee... We haven't been for a while (edit to clarify: it's been like five years). We're one of the wealthier states in the country.
