Gaga "Doesn't Hate Hollywood Anymore", Amazes Crowd At Hollywood Bowl

Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett amazed the multigenerational crowd at the Hollywood Bowl on Saturday night, performing many songs off of Cheek To Cheek and several new covers of Duke Ellington and Frank Sinatra. (Stay tuned for a full setlist and audio to be added soon) 

It was a gorgeous late spring afternoon, with a sold out crowd packed inside the outdoor arena to hear the legendary duo. 

Dispelling rumours once and for all that she hates Hollywood, Gaga declared she "loves this town!", and said she was being "honest now." Listen below to GagaDaily exclusive audio!

 

 

Gaga describes her relationship with her musical partner and mentor, Tony Bennett, as she introduced "Lush Life":

"Tony has been a really good friend to me. I know that usually in entertainment, everybody wonders if things are real, or if they are a put-on, a show."

She pauses, her voice nearly cracking with emotion: 

"But he really is, such a good, good friend to me. He told me that this song was my life. And I knew it was."

​No more "likes" to give unfortunately. Everywhere I turn, rave reviews for the show. Every performance actually. Just stellar. I'm so thankful for Tony and so glad Gaga is enjoying herself. She seems to happy.

I absolutely do not buy for a minute she cares for Hollywood.

Perhaps its fitting of this gig, but her premise is founded on everything Hollywood is not. 

 

And I love her for that.

 

She knows how to be a chameleon.
