What should the theme be for Gaga's next album?

The Fame really just seemed to be about fame and how it was what she was obsessed with. That and s-x!

TFM was pretty freaking dark and was really all about Love, Sex, Betrayal, and Fame.

BTW was dark also, and the themes were pretty much the same as TFM, but the main theme of the whole album was self acceptance. (WHY ITS MY FAV ALBUM)

ARTPOP was fast, upbeat, and like a dose of adrenaline that got me feeling creative and energetic. The theme was really s-x and d--gs, but it did dig a little deeper with fan themes too.

For the next album I personally think it should mix together BTW and ARTPOP, but have a dark yet happy feel to go along side Gaga's life at the moment (Engagement).

I also want her vocals to be featured a little bit more, maybe more ballads, but that isn't really a theme, just something that I want.

Tell me what you think the theme should be!

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

I want it to be about to be dark with themes surrounding betrayal (Troy), downfall (ARTPOP backlash) and depression.  But to also have melancholic elements, where she sings about being in love and having hope for the future.

Based on where she is in life, I would say new beginnings, love, and peace. I don't think it will be dark, but instead have a very eclectic electronic sound, incorporating more instruments than prior albums and such. I think it will have almost a whimsical feel to it, yet remain intelligent and dignified. Sort of like a combo of dance music meets Fleetwood Mac meets Pat Benatar or Janis Joplin.

I don't want to say the album will be a full-out singer-songwriter/alternative album, but I think it will definitely incorporate more of those elements in it than her previous works while still remaining true to the sound she's created for herself previously.

Nature.

She could incorporate sounds such as bird song/ thunder and take advantage of her beautiful voice.

Gaga wouldn't be slammed for copying Bjork if she created something listen-able.

Yes!!!  I totally like your idea!  I hope it sounds like this, too!

Regardless of the direction Gaga goes, I will support 100% because I am in love with her artistry and her vocals.

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

I always feel like the last videos of each album really lead into the next album's themes.

The Fame ended on Paparazzi which had a video focusing on the darker side of fame...

The Fame Monster was about the darker side of fame and ended on Alejandro which had a video focusing on the gay community and liberation...

Born This Way was about the LGBT community and wanting liberation and ended on Marry the Night which had a video focusing on her personal life, depression, self-medication, picking yourself up, and struggling but working toward her dreams...

ARTPOP was a closer look at her personal life/emotions (Aura, Venus), depression (Dope, Swine), self-medication (Mary Jane Holland, Jewels 'n' Drugs), picking yourself up (Do What U Want, Donatella, Fashion!, MANiCURE), and working toward her dreams (Gypsy, Applause) and ended on G.U.Y. which had a video about leaving toxic relationships behind and working towards sharing her artistic vision on her own terms / rebellion...

so I think LG5 will focus on rebellion, freeing herself from toxic people, finding happiness, and doing things on her own terms :flirt:

Maybe she doesn't need a concept or a "theme" this time around.

She could just sing about her current life: her infatuation for her boyfriend, growing up, overcoming tough situations...

Having a concept can be very nice, but it can be also very restrictive and create certain expectations...not to mention that if ppl don't care for your theme, they might just decide to ignore the whole album.

I'm all in favor of her having a well defined aesthetic to explore throughout the next "era", tho.

ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.
