Big Announcement: Asia set to grace the pages of Italian Vogue

How "Born This Way" is it to dress up a dog in stuff like Gaga is doing? Gaga is using Asia as an extension of own fashion, rather than just having it just be a dog. Does she really think Asia would enjoy having all sorts of crap being attached to and removed from her body all day? A dog doesn't know what fashion or "creative expression" is, and doesn't care. She probably just wants to sleep, eat and play every now and then, without being restricted by jewelery or other useless stuff. There are much better and healthier ways to bond with pets.

" As reported by the American Pet Products Association (APPA) in the Pet Industry Market Size & Ownership Statistics, the total U.S. pet industry expenditures for 2008 was $43.2 billion while it is estimated at $55.53 billion for 2013."

"Nobody buys accessories for their pets! She has no idea what she's doing!"

This thread is getting stupid, rabid fanboys getting upset that they aren't getting what they want.

Do you know what the market share was for normal goods versus inferior goods when it came to pet expenditures.

Let me elaborate my budget for dog stuff on a monthly basis (two dogs):

Necessities:

1. Dog Food: $50

2. Dog Medicine/Vet Costs: $50-$100

3. Shampoo/Conditioner: $5

Wants:

1. Dog toys, treats: $50

2. Accessories (essentials only: collars/leashes): $10

So thats... approximately $275 a month on just dog stuff, and thats being budget conscious (They never go to the groomer, or have "spa days"). To penetrate the already crowded pet supply market, she has to be exceptionally innovative. Being innovative and creative will be expensive. Which goes back to my prior point that she's marketing to the 1%.

Ok that's great, but spending another 30 dollars or whatever a month on a cute collar or scarf for your dog doesn't require you to be a millionaire or in the 1%. You're being extremely over dramatic. Some people spend their money differently. You can be middle class and shop at Ross and be middle class and buy 300 dollar designer jeans. We're not talking about elite ultra-premium merchandise.

If you don't have a dog, then why do you all care? Don't buy the **** then. Move on. #thirstyforattentionontheinternet

Lol. There was literally zero drama. I'm just being realistic. Buying things over $10 for a dog thats going to be destroyed within a month makes no sense.

Some of you are being too much. She has done a lot of nonsense stuff before. She had a ****ty online game to promote The Fame, she had a personalized hotel to promote G.U.Y., she had the whole ARTPOP era.

You all need to realize that she isn't the second coming of Pop God. She is a talented artist who is passionate about her music and imagery but that doesn't mean she is not human. The whole "Pop music will never be low brow" and "Music not the Bling" are just slogans. She is more than the artist you see on stage, she is a woman. She has more ambitions besides music and pop culture. You should learn how to love the human more than the icon.

Because we're emotionally connected to Gaga as an artist, but she's going against what she used to stand for and what some of her fans still stand for. For me it's not the dog stuff per se, but just the overall way she's behaving. I feel like she's becoming more and more fake and, as some fans have been saying, she's losing her grip on reality. That just saddens me.

Maybe I'm overreacting, but it's not the first time that she's gotten this type of reaction out of me. The problem is that I'm way too deep into the stan zone to act like I don't care about it :smh:

Okay my final opinion, I don't have a dog so I really can't be excited or what not but it's happening regardless so why fight it.

I'm just getting annoyed because of the amount of posts she's making about it but that would be the same if it was anyone else on my following list :coffee: like calm downnnnnn.

Oh, good lord...just find some Alternative artists singing in coffee shops...because they are  "real". All big artists sell something, from perfume to nail polish to school supplies.

I just think it's dumb to give your dog aroma therapy treatments and massages.

Mr Ricky

I can't at anyone trying to be mad just because the dog is getting a massage and it's own fashion line. First of all, Gaga can do the **** she wants. Second of all, Gaga has been generous enough to donate to certain projects. Third of all, Gaga has been fcking fighting for your rights. Fourth of all, Gaga has fcking helped you with Born This Way. And now it's just crazy she gives HER dog this much attention? Hence, I would do it to my dog aswell. Getting all the love he/she needs.

Why would SOME OF YOU be even fcking BOTHERED by the fact she buys items for her dog. There is a difference in being a millionaire and living the basic life. She HAS the money for it, we do too, but we have to think of other things to survive. Gaga does not even have to worry about that, because she HAS the money.

Some of you would pretty much do the same thing, not necessarily this, but waste money on other **** too if you were fcking rich. So don't even come for her, because it would be fcking hypocritical. Let her and her dog live their lives.

I just can't with people who think like they could be a better millionaire/artist.

The fact that Gaga is not even the only one human in the world buying items for their dogs. Seems like everything is being seen from Gaga's perspective and yet people can't accept the fact that this woman loves her dog so much, it's like OBVIOUS. :toofunny:
