Crystalline 993 Posted May 27, 2015 Author Share Posted May 27, 2015 seriously, one of my favourite's from her! even without a music video, it still became quite a hit! - but, it deserved to be so much bigger!where I am, people still sing "Do what you want with my body!" Well it pisses me off so much. If she would have performed it at the YouTube Music Awards which they payed to advertise it on YouTube or something (not sure), which caused it to get 15 million views in a week - which pushed "Dope" to #8. If she would have performed it there, just think.. it still had some sales going at that point, so I think honestly it'd have gone up to #7 probably. Then if she'd released the music video a couple weeks later, I'm sure it'd have gone at LEAST semi-viral, it probably would've scraped about 45-60 million views in a week I assume (if WB could do 110m, so could that video), which would have pushed it to at LEAST #3. As time's gone on though, I've kinda felt like the R. Kelly verse brings it down a little. When I listen to it now, I listen to the Christina version instead. It sounds a lot smoother, imo. It's simple, it's catchy, it has some of her best vocals, it has great lyrics, it makes an statement and it's not her comfort zone. It shows how good she is as a singer and as a songwriter, it also shows how intelligent she is.This. iT IS DEFINITLY ONE OF GAGA'S BEST AND MOST CLEVER SONGS Along with poker face and bad romance.
