crybrowz 3,313
Hi guys! I was thinking earlier today about how I've become desensitized to a lot of things that most people consider gross or strange. For example I saw someone throw up the other day and everyone was freaking out over it and I wasn't really bothered by it (probably because I've watched the Swine SXSW performance at least 500 times). I've also become kind of accustomed to nudity. I tend to change in front of people a lot and I forget the fact the other people often times get uncomfortable around people with little clothing. Gaga's half naked all the time so I think nudity has lost its shock to me. I'm sure I have much more examples but those are just a few. Maybe I'm just weird and Gaga has nothing to do with it but who knows. So do you think Gaga desensitized you to things that other people find weird? Red 98,224
I realized that effect when she wore a lobster hat and I was okay with it If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

I used to be grossed out by it but because I also the Swine SXSW performance countless times, it just seems natural to me. Gaga, ha impact. I don't care what you think about unless it is about me. Oscar 1,031
ehhh idk if it's because of gaga or not but most of her fans tent to be predominantly liberal, and therefore, tend to have no problem with nudity and p-rn and stuff like that.
Thomas P 18,479
When she strted bleeding at the VMA's I stopped cringing at the sight of blood and now I could care less I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.
Supersonic 49,376
Not really for me tbh. I always thought that nudity was no big deal. I grew up in Germany and had no idea that especially female bodies are policed so harshly in America until I saw that girls get suspended from school for showing their shoulders in America. People vomit all the time, I got used to it pretty early.
Economy 50,278
ummm yeah, when she came out i found her stuff shocking then she kept pushing the envelop... she also influenced a trend in which the music industry in general got more edgy (tho most artists not to her level) now many of the same things have less impact. Just Dance, Poker Face, Love Game, Paparazzi, Bad romance i thought was shocking when it came out. Now its nothing lmao telephone is still out there tho (even tho i love it)
Jay.P 2,336
In a way, but not enough to change in front of people, i'm still shy. However, I've always found nudity and many things people see as shocking pretty normal. Do you hear that? It's poison.
RebeldeFaith 5,555
I understand the "nudity" and "change in front of others" because the same happens to me. But it's not because of Gaga. Is way before that. In the highschool I graduated there was only one dressing room for the drama class and everyone had to used it at the same time when we where going to present something. So eventually I got used to change in front of others. Also in my university the gym showers are... well, the typical gym showers where everyone is naked and you have to be too if you wanna use them. Can I vanish into a cheeseburger pizza?
TopazBlue 2,100
Oh I've certainly been desensitized from vomiting. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) 🔻 𝔫𝔬 𝔭𝔯𝔢𝔧𝔲𝔡𝔦𝔠𝔢, 𝔫𝔬 𝔧𝔲𝔡𝔤𝔢𝔪𝔢𝔫𝔱, 𝔟𝔲𝔱 𝔟𝔬𝔲𝔫𝔡𝔩𝔢𝔰𝔰 𝔣𝔯𝔢𝔢𝔡𝔬𝔪 🔺
Ex 81
I think the Swine at SXSW example applies to me the most. Vomit especially is nothing to me since that iconic day
crybrowz 3,313
Okay I'm glad I'm not alone on the vomit thing. I got drunk and vomited on my floor awhile ago and it little bit (barely noticable at all) got on my backpack and when I pointed it out to someone they thought it was the most volatile thing ever and no one touched me for the rest of the week until I washed it. Bradley 59,245
Well by liking Gaga we were already desensitized by ourselves at some point cause many used to find her weird.
