I think Princess Die has the most beautiful lyrics from Gaga...

I agree, some of her most beautiful anyway. "I'm hungry from an anorexic heart, I've been trying to tell you how I feel but was never very smart" is one of the lines that just makes me tear up, along with "Bob your head for another dead blonde whose real prince is in heaven, she just wants to sleep." The lyrics are a bit sketchy in places (never understood the whole bit about "wrapped in silks made for Egyptian queens, I'll do it in the swimming pool so everybody sees" and "I'll swallow each peroxide shot") but it is on the whole a beautiful, sad song. Very polarizing, though. I can see why I never made the album.

It's definitely got some of her most vulnerable lyrics, and she clearly wrote it at a time where she felt most vulnerable. I don't think it's glamorising suicide or anything, she wrote her thoughts into a song and tbh I respect her for having the courage to perform that live. I understand why she didn't put it on the album, it's not only controversial in terms of topics but if I was in that position I wouldn't want to feel obliged to continue to perform the song.

As most of her songs, it lacks tact when it comes to the music written into it. But yes, i agree. The lyrics alone are indeed beautiful and haunting.

What do you mean by this? Are you saying the lyrics are insensitive/offensive?

I think she is saying that from the outside her life looks perfect. She is rich and worshiped by many. Yet, she is very sad on the inside and crying out for help. She contemplates killing herself outside in front of people because she wants to show everyone the pain she is feeling.

I beg to.disagree, Brooklyn Nights is. :green:

Honestly? To me the majority of those lyrics are a bit cliché. Funny how tastes differ to much.

I love whenever Gaga uses beautiful metaphors like: Bleach out all the dark and I'm hungry from an anorexic heart.

But to me Marry the Night (just that phrase is great!) and Edge of Glory are very beautifull.

Another shot before we kiss the other side
I'm on the edge of something final we call life tonight
Put on your shades, 'cause I'll be dancing in the flames
It isn't hell if everybody knows my name tonight

And Fame just has the funniest lines:

All we care about is
****ographic girls on film and body plastic
Give me something I wanna see television and hot blondes in odd positions

According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch
