She literally says "seven years of our bad luck dating" if she'd written that in 2010, it would've meant they'd been together since 2003, which they were not. It's clear she wrote this in late 2011/early 2012 after they broke up. Regardless, if I were Taylor I'd have been initially a bit annoyed, but people write songs about their exes all the time, so I'm sure it wasn't too huge of a deal for him (clearly since they're engaged lol).
