Jesus, this thread is so insane.. :laughga:

Judas is more mainstream sounding than Unconditionally, though.

Gurl........

They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.

Katy said a while back that she is taking a break and she won't be releasing new music anytime soon.  Her tour stops in October..  now suddenly after Gaga's manager announced LG5 isn't coming before 2016, Katy's manager announces the same (check Billboard)

Katy's team knows damn well that Katy is set for a great start, especially after Superbowl and Gaga not so good after ARTPOP.  If Gaga doesn't release surprisingly this year (by surprisingly i mean announce something out of nowhere etc. and BEFORE 2016) I can assure y'all that Katy's team will AGAIN try to pit Katy against Gaga.....

True

Katy's career was always centered around Gaga

1.California Gurls released around Alejandro to benefit from the Satanist controversy

People like her sweeter image over Gaga's scary one

2. ET and Born This Way-two space themed videos released very close to each other

3.LFN-They saw TEOG getting good reception and decided to release their own trumbone based song

4. TOTGA- released after Yuyi a ballad smashing

5.Roar and Prism announced before ARTPOP and done very close to it

They will definitely try again, no doubt

Born This Way = album of the decade

Prism = attempt at creating Teenage Dream 2.0

No, don't want things to be rushed

It must be spring 2016, not earlier nor late

Agree, but if the lead single is done she should release it this summer tbh

No the single should be released in Christmas/New Year time to get massive sales and then drop the album on Valentine's day

There is a difference between saying "wont be releasing new music anytime soon" in earlier part of this year and "her album will come out during 2016". And you are talking as if Katy is controlled by her team, but Katy is the boss and the CEO of her team to put it in short. Everyone who has ever worked with her has confirmed that.

The reach for 3 and 4 :rip:

How releasing California Gurls around the time Gaga was making controversy for being "satanic" with Alejandro would benefit Katy? If you mean by selling better and charting higher, with all the controversy and California Gurls smashing and taking over, Alejandro still was a huge success: did pretty well on the radio, broke and set a YouTube record with it's music video, peaked at #5 on Billboard Hot 100 and sold pretty well (both US and WW) which is great for a 3rd single.

Nobody really knows for sure that when E.T.'s music video was filmed, but some say it was filmed in late 2010, before Born This Way's music video which was filmed in January of 2011 (not saying anybody copied someone else here).

btw sold more it had more impact and it's a better album not gonna read the rest of your silly post

You can't compare the sales of a 4 year and 8 months old album like Born This Way to the sales of a 1 year and 8 months old album like PRISM. We are not here to say which album is better. That's subjective and would create a endless argument since everyone has a different opinion.

Born This Way = album of the decade

Prism = attempt at creating Teenage Dream 2.0

NOOOOO :deadbanana:even a Capitol insider said that when Katy went to write and record PRISM, her goal wasn't to recreate Teenage Dream AT ALL. You should listen to both albums (Teenage Dream & PRISM) in full, and compare their sounds/genres, lyrics, and concepts, then you'll see that both are completely different albums.
