TEOG is one of her most recognised here and is a masterpiece, haven't heard Applause anywhere in quite a while. It was barely picked up by stations.. DWUW got more airplay :emma:

The Edge of Glory, from it's creation (inspired by her late grandfather-may he rest in peace:pray:) to the song's composition to it's message

The song is a far better masterpiece, if not her best song

The edge of glory is such a beautiful powerful song that is relatable and really resonates to anyone that has lost a loved one but to celebrate their life and their glory/journey. I don't really keep in touch with what's caused more impact but for me I know many people that love the edge of glory and I know many people that think applause is just "cool" or annoying.

The Edge of Glory. I still hear it on many radio stations to this date and it's more known to a wider audience than Applause. Never the less, both are great but Applause's impact didn't last (and won't) last as long as TEOG which is timeless - and the saxophone break is heavenly.

Much more people here know Applause than The Edge of Glory, so I'll go with Applause

Sometimes it feels like I've got a war in my mind, I wanna get off but I keep riding the ride

Applause had way more airplay and still gets played often...TEOG I don't hear that often tho:legend:

It's the exact opposite where I live. All the local radio stations still play TEOG while none of them except for one play Applause anymore. About half of them never even played it to begin with. TEOG was a much bigger hit with the GP.

I wish TEOG got more recurrent AirPlay where I live, but applause because it's a sporting event staple

The Edge Of Glory is already one of her signature songs and it's aging very well so TEOG for me

but both are some of her most memorable songs tho

My Favs = Lady Gaga, Janet Jackson, Ricky Martin, AKB48

Standing by my opinion because I just heard TEOG on the radio about 20 minutes ago. Playing at the same time on three other stations were Roar, Wake Me Up, and Can't Hold Us. Radio just doesn't want to play new Gaga. DWUW didn't have a wide enough audience and Applause had no longevity (neither did Y&I which actually did get a lot of airplay back in 2011 and MTN flopped hard. I never heard the song proper on any station, but I did hear it in a station bumper). Really hate that all of Applause's contemporary hits still get recurring play but not that song... :crossed:

It really depends on the location, but I feel Applause made a slightly bigger impact here in the states.

Applause had a better video, is fresher in peoples minds, and was the most memorable single of the ARTPOP era

The Edge of Glory had a disappointing video, is older, and was the DWUW of BTW being made a single only after promo sales....

Need I say more... :thetea:
