They have also reduced the amount of energy and water needed to seperate oil from sand and recycle up to 90% of the little water that is still used. This is also helping the economics by lowering operating costs Cenovus as well as Suncor (Canadas largest oil company) are working on technology to tripple recoverable reserves from 170 Billion barrels to hopefully as much as 500 Billion barrels (double that of saudi arabia) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
