I'd say BTW. Like the lyrics, but the actual music could've been so much more. A lot of fans love it for obvious reasons, but it was one of her weakest efforts for me. I'd say that Scheisse and G.U.Y are runner ups, even though they're still good songs. They're just not the masterpieces a lot of fans seem to claim they are.

It´s not that much about the lyrics, but the music just sounds so depressing  I can´t listen to that song and stay in a good mood, it´s impossible...

How do you feel about songs like Princess Die, in that case? If anything sounds like "a disharmoic song to sing 5 minutes from your deathbed," that's it. Speechless, The Queen and Dope are in the same vein and I don't see you mention any of those. I just think your choice of MTN is kinda weird as apart from the intro beat, it's a very upbeat, joyous song.

Doesn´t sound like that to me, I don´t know  and I don´t mind those other songs cause they have beautiful melodies... MTN seems distorted to me and kinda all over the place, the production is just weird  it´s like her vocals don´t fit the instrumental... don´t know, I always imagine winter with that song, I imagine feeling down and I´m always the one to feel good, so that may be the reason :laughga: + the song really dissapointed me at first, first impressions matter tbh...

I can't at y'all saying Gypsy is overrated.

Applause. Such a good pop song but many here like to pretend it's some sort musical gem like it's a Bjork song or something in that style :neyde:

I think MTN does have a beautiful melody with those serene chimes. It's a kind of beautiful thay just makes me want to cry, but in a good way. When the instrumental played in the background of a piece about her saying how her fans were her sunshine, that was the only time it sounded quite sad. But the song is full of happy moments, like poppy chorus, the heavenly sound of her singing "Come on and ruuuuuuuun...", the little techno breakdown towards the end and the final shouts of "the niiiight!" I've always imaged her spinning like crazy and being winched up to the top of the stage when that bit comes on in my mind, so it was always disappointing to me how she just did a lame dance move at that part. But yes, I do think of winter when I think of this track as it was released as a single in winter and it's about marrying the night and in winter, it's like it's a never-ending night. So, yeah, it's natural to imagine that when you hear it.

I think there's lots of ways to be joyful. Not all songs have to sound like Girls Just Wanna Have Fun to sound happy. After all, there's songs that sound happy but are actually about something quite sad (Sean Kingston's Beautiful Girls and Cee-Lo's F*** You, for example). But people bop to them like they're happy songs.

Bad Romance is at least good.

But Venus, god no like, that song is just... why

and people treat both songs like they're masterpieces of this century when they aren't, at all, especially Venus. Since when was Venus a centerpiece anyway?

hop on that **** like a maniac
