angelduuh 508
She may not have a big fanbase but at least she can put a better show than Britney and Mariah.
Emvee 8,413
I don't get why some people always have to get so shady when it comes to talking about Jennifer Lopez. Good for her!
The Child 18,997
OMG I totally can't at the pressed Britney's stans posts, I'm a Britney fan too and I'm just so embarrassed to be part of a such a ****ty fan base. I love Jlo and I wish her all the best for her residency. I'm just a little bit pissed that she's using the Axis which was renovated exceptionally for Britney though. ‘If religion be the cause of disunity, then irreligion is surely to be preferred.’ ‘Abdu’l-Bahá
StrawberryBlond 14,881
I just don't get it. She's not an album seller and hasn't had a loyal fanbase for years. All the songs from her new album flopped and she only had one big hit from her last album. Yeah, she's had some #1's and top 10's but most of them were back in the day and very few of them can be recalled by the public now. There's a reason why she's only done one tour in her entire career - because there's never been demand for a J Lo tour. She's not the kind of singer you'd pay to see live. She's not known for her vocals and lipsynchs. I can't see people paying hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars going all the way to Vegas to see her perform. I thought the concept of a Britney residency was pushing it for the same reasons, but she genuinely suprised me. But Britney actually has hits that the public can remember, has sold more albums and still has lots of superfans. J Lo has none of those things. I have the feeling that this is going to be a very short residency.

She is not the most popular female artist out there but she is still an icon for older adults who are the main public of these shows. A Vegas Residency is not just a tour or a normal concert. These shows are promoted as part of one of the many experiences in Las Vegas. Jennifer Lopez received very positive reviews of her last tour so I wouldn't be surprised if she had a successful run in Las Vegas. She is a show girl and a big icon for Hispanic people which are now a big part of the people who visit Las Vegas.
Psychedelic 1,098
Jlo can sing, she can dance and can do both at the same time with slayful energy, plus tons of hits from the early 00's. I don't see why her residency wouldn't be a great and successful show! I love Brit, but the army has been acting so embarrassing lately that makes us little monsters looks like the most decent fanbase on earth... and at least we have Gaga's REAL talent to back it up when we get annoying... some people should just stop for the sake of their own dignity
