Because ARTPOP wasn't a frank success and there was no need to extend with an EP or even a remix album a record that people weren't buying in the first place. Also, Interscope always keeps the b-sides under their belts in case it could be reused in some form in the future (the FOHL/Earthquake situation you talked about in the OP, for instance). Why did they wanted to lose the opportunity to get more money and sales? But my points is, is it possible that Gaga would release some ARTPOP outtakes in her next album, such as Sire and TEA? Or even one? Gaga released Fashion of His Love on Born This Way special version and it included a verse from Earthquake, an unreleased song. What do you think? Are you like 10 years old? Her image was ruined because of ARTPOP's under performance. Do you think an album (Act II) related to an under performing album (ARTPOP) will do well? Not very likely. To answer your question: Yes. Uctually as as much as I dislike the final album, the melodies and lyrics of all the songs on ARTPOP (apart from Donatella. Fashion, and J&D...are actually pretty amazing. No tracks by Zedd or Madeon please. Lady Gaga tweeted sometimes she likes to dig up old songs and polish them into new gems. I want nothing Zedd or Madeon's twinky hands touched to be on the new album. I want everything they may have contributed to an unreleased song completely disinfected and thrown away and brought back to life by a new producer to match the sound of the new album. Like if Lady Gaga wrote some songs for ARTPOP but didn't record them, I don't see a problem with that as long as they don't sound dated or reflect other songs on ARTPOP. You get me sisses?
