​That's kind of ironic because these things would never happen in the US. And some Europeans support these bans. 

Yup. Freedom of religion is holy in the US, and its even hard to legalize gay marriage because it would somehow (?!) limit the freedom of religion of many. And yeah, Geert Wilders (he even had a speech in which he said: 'We want less, less and less Moroccans and we'll take care of that'), supports these and most other people at that anti-Islam rally support these measures. They're Islamophobes, in and out.

They expected to have free speech, which is a constitutional right for all American citizens. They didn't deserve to be hunted down by idiot extremists in a country that protects free speech and gives them the right to do exactly what they were doing. In the U.S., offending someone's religion is not an act that is punishable by death.

Because of Geller's actions two terrorists are down. Two terrorists who were already waiting for their moment to shine in the eyes of their Mohammad. Instead of getting to kill innocent people they only inflicted a gun shot wound to the ankle of that brave security guard.

She is only controversial because she is doing something everyone else wants to either ignore or be quiet about because we are scared. She sure has a lot of BALLS. I commend her.

And the point is not to offend Muslims. If she really wanted to offend Muslims she could have thrown elephant dung on a photo of Mohammad. And that's just one of the many things Christians deal with on a daily basis. Muslims should be thankful that all they did was hold a cartoon contest PRIVATELY in a closed building.

With that paramilitary unit, it was pretty clear that no one can harm her, but she did risk other people's lives. She should have given those 10k dollars to victims families in Nepal instead of organizing stupid contest.

They did not show up to even protest outside. But when they had gathering in January which was not offending any group, these same radical Christians, followers of Geller & Spencer, showed up with their rifles and signs, yelling at Muslim children and women how Islam is same as Nazism, how their prophet is a pedophile, how they should go out of America and take 'muslim' Obama with them. So they should be thankful for what exactly? 

I don't know what is so brave in these xenophobic people.

The point is conserving rights to say what we want and not live in fear that someone is going to shoot us for it!!! I don't think anybody is disagreeing that hate speech is wrong...but if you engage in that type of foolishness you still don't deserve to have a terrorist group put a bullet to your head. I agree that people like this are not to be commended and that racists individuals or groups are not brave. 

That's why Muslims shouldn't draw prophets then. The same laws of one group's religion do not hold true for everyone else outside of that religion. Others outside of that religion have every right to ridicule and make fun of other's religious beliefs or their religious founders or their God. I know it's not a pleasant experience for Muslims to see these types of cartoons, but people from all religions deal with the same type of situations, in the way of cartoons, music, movies, artwork, TV shows, etc. These religious groups may not like these images or words against their religion being out there in the public, but they can't make their personal religion or beliefs a requirement for everyone.

Look, I don't agree with the shootings at all. 

ISIS is out there in Middle East killing both Muslims and non Muslims, stealing and taking more land, threatening other Muslim lands. They are not in the USA. The American Muslims should not be blamed for what the terrorists do. And those two individuals represent only themselves, not the whole community.

Yeah, I understand and agree with you on the quoted part.

Muslims could have showed up to protest since they found it offensive, that's what the first amendment is for. 

There was a swat team there and FBI had already warned them that one of these two loonies was posting suspicious tweets on social media. These two guys had to know they were going down.
