Why we haven't gotten TIHTY yet

As I told a couple of you I saw The Hunting Grounds the other day when it played at my university. I gotta say in it's highest, loudest quality the song is absolute gold.. The quiet part is incredibly vulnerable and the loud sections are empowering as hell. But hearing it at the screening made me realize exactly why they haven't released it yet..

Gaga and The Hunting Grounds team decided to not release the song for consumption until they film was done with it's run across different college campuses/movie theaters. They correctly knew that Little Monsters would be more inclined to see the film if they haven't heard the song yet (or at least in HQ) so by delaying the release they amplify the likeliness for more people to see it. Moreover if this song is Oscar material, it makes more sense to release the song officially around the time of the Oscars so that the live performance is fresh and new to many people.

And let me just say, thank god they didn't release it yet because I don't think I would have seen the film if I already had the song on my itunes. That movie is a tearjerker, at times and the statistics given throughout the documentary are eye opening, jaw dropping, and revolutionary if that info is seen by enough people. I don't think people realize just how ****ed up this s-xual assault pandemic is and how often universities sweep these cases under the table. 

So for all the people complaining about it not being released yet: calm the **** down.The song being a bit exclusive incentivizes more people to see the film and it is absolutely a film that all of us should see (if we can). For the rest of the monsters who won't be able to see the film? Be patient and wait calmly, you're not doing yourselves any favors by harassing Diane Warren on Twitter.

I don't really agree. I mean, is it really safe to say that delaying the release of a song ensures that Little Monsters will see the movie? Why? I see no connection whatsoever.

The Oscars performance thing is more convincing to me, plus Diane said Gaga wanted to use a different mix for the single release, so there might be more things going on.

It's already set to be released when t documentary will be broadcasted/released so why wouldnt we get it?

​Well the film will come out on DVD eventually right? Or online in some medium? We can rip the song from that and have the full mp3 file! (lemme be optimistic )
