hah she cant really help anything other than send condolences. and i think hes silence shows that she knows that. its not being childish its being realistic

This response may be realistic, but the response you sent before this is childish. Even sending condolences and encouraging non-violent protests is better than silence in my opinion.

well i just watched fox news bring in dr phil of all people as if he will have impact and this thread gave the same vibe i got from fox news. sorry if my sarcasm offended you but it really should be obvious by now why she hasnt spoken out.

she has little impact in this type of issue

I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it.

Who are you to be the judge of that? Millions of people follow her on twitter and she has a huge loyal following, ones that will see her encouragement of non-violent protesting, views on inequality and comments on the situation.

everyone who follows gaga is most likely liberal and already know what she will say about it and agree. what she has to say is kinda irrelevant in the minds of those who actually matter here in the effort to stop violence and police brutality.

Yes its true that she doesn't have to mention anything about it, but to make the excuses thats she to busy with other stuff or that there is too much going on to make a tweet is kind of weak imo. However I understand why she wouldn't feel its her place (It not an issue that directly effects her personally), but as someone who speaks out on a host of other issues regarding the lack of equality for gay and trans people, you'd think she would have said something. Trans issues don't directly effect her either but she still speaks out. There is so much in the media about everything going on and its not like its a small problem.

I also cant level with people saying that if she tweeted it really wouldn't do anything. She's a internationally famous white cisgender woman  speaking out in support of black issues and acting as an ally. I think it would be greatly beneficial. A tweet may seem trivial but support is support, it helps, especially if its coming from Lady Gaga.

I agree with this 100%, her voice means something, it's one that can be heard. I don't think you guys understand that.

Gaga doesn't even talk to us anymore on social media she just posts pics in the moment or of things she's actually seeing herself like the Bruce Jenner interview and is somewhat qualified to make a statement..if she just heard sth on the news no matter how important and she doesn't want to get into it or doesn't have time to if I were her I would rather not say anything and leave politics to the people who know what's going on. I wouldn't want her to comment just so she has said sth

What makes her qualified to comment on the transgender community and not the african american community? At the end of the day, human rights are human rights.

I meant she is qualified to comment on the Bruce Jenner Interview bc she has actually seen it instead of just heard about it for 2 minutes. Maybe that's why she hasn't spoken out about the racial issues bc she isn't as interested or doesn't have time to get into details now. Just bc this is a really strong subject for u doesn't mean it has to be for Gaga as well as of now and maybe she will still comment

She also hasn't commented on the german plane crash with the suicide pilot which is the biggest tragedy that happened in the german flight history. But there are too many issues in the world for her to comment on as she is a singer and entertainer and not a politician so I don't wonder if she doesn't care about that. Maybe she hasn't heard about it or maybe she just wants to keep her opinion to herself

I was wondering this too... The good sis needs to be looking out for the PoC community as well.

(hopefully) because she's not as dumb and sees the real issue is "handling" it as such.

there's a brand new talk,
but it's not very clear
the people from good homes
are talking this year
it's loud and it's tasteless
I've not heard it before
